I am so sorry that you and your family had a bad experience at our DAR Elias Van Bunschooten Museum. I wished you had made the effort to try to find the person in charge of the event to discuss your issues. I did find your review very offensive especially thinking that we were a bias group and unintelligent. We have own and maintained this museum since 1972 and we have always strived ourselves as professional individuals dedicated to promoting historic preservation. Our museum maybe only a 1787 Dutch Colonial House but there are many characteristics to this home. This big old farm house was placed on the State and National Registers of Historic Sites and Places so I think it is fair to say that the house is historic. I hope in the future you will reach out to us again so that we might be able to give you a private tour. By no means is this house/museum boring and a waste of time. Please come visit.
