Lou the owner and creator of this layout was on duty at the till and it was a real pleasure to spend time learning of its origins and history.The layout is the result of a retirement project by Lou and his family and all of the buildings were scratch built from his own blueprints over a period of 7 years. He eventually acquired the present building and, with his family, constructed the railway which is primarily aimed at the younger visitor, but, as a modeller, I fully appreciated the time and effort put into the buildings.In addition to the layout there are some superb models and a whole section with Civil War Memorabilia, so, really, something for everyone.It was a delight to spend time with Lou and I thank him for his attention and generosity.
