Great place to visit if your into racing history or a car enthusiasts. Lots of the old racing technology and new. Some very nice race cars and lots of Unsers trophies and race memorabilia. I would highly recommend you make this a pit stop!! (pun intended).

Well I love racing and anybody coming to Albuquerque has to go to this, it's great. The people are friendly and very helpful. Well worth the admission.

Although we live in Albuquerque, we had never visited the Unser Museum until today. After getting a rave report from a friend, we decided we needed to visit. We shouldn't have waited so long. This is a great place to spend some time. Great history, wonderful cars and memorabilia all offered in a very nice presentation with the help of attentive staff. If you are a race fan or history buff, you will definitely enjoy a visit.Highly recommended.

The museum is very well laid out. Chock full of cars, engines, tires, memoribilia. The Docents are very friendly and informative without being too attentive.

We got there 30 minutes before closing but the lady told us she would let us in for half price and we could stay an extra 30 minutes. She gave us an excellent overview and a volunteer took us to the second building. Both were very informative and made us feel we were on a tour made for us. Al Unser, Jr. was there. We did not get to visit with him but we saw his vehicle and dog. I will go back when I have much more time. I could spent 2 to 3 hours there without trying. If you like cars, racing, or just history this is a great visit. It is very clean and laid out great.

We are a family of 6, the museum was free for 16 and under so we stopped in. At first look at the building we figured it would be pretty lame but it was fabulous! We stated for 3 hours the staff was excellent and very informative. They made us feel at home. The cars were awesome and we learned a lot about the racing family. We never really have been into this type of racing but it was surprisingly interesting. The inner active stuff was fun! A must see experience!

Amazing exhibit!! A must see if you are coming to Albuquerque. The amount of cool cars is extraordinary. And it has two museums for the price of one.

I'll state up front that cars and racing are not my primary interests. My five-year-old son and I visited because he thought it would be fun. I don't know about fun, but I will admit that it was worth the time.We loved seeing all the old cars on display. In the main museum, we saw mostly the Unser family race cars, along with an old Model T and some other cars. We learned a lot about the Unser family of racers (especially considering that we knew nothing about them going into the place) and learned some about cars as well. Everything's hands-off except for two tiny cars for kids to sit in and some computerized interactive displays (also mostly geared to kids). The videos that played at most of the displays were interesting at first, but because they were in a documentary format, they lost their appeal after a while. The second building was more fun for me. It was full of more restored classic cars, and they were all artfully displayed. We visited on a quiet day. There were only two or three other groups in the museum at the same time we were there. Was this visit worth the entrance fee? Yes. Will we go back more than once? Probably not. That's the major reason I didn't give this place a higher rating. It has minimal revisit value. But did we have a good time, and would we recommend that others make this part of their trip? Yes!

The museum is located in a far corner of the city but it is worth the trip. If you go on a day that is not very busy, you get your own personal guide to the exhibits in each of the two seperate buildings. And, if you are lucky, you can meet Mr. Unser himself - the highlight of my visit.

This museum traces the racing history of the Unser family. There are numerous cars on display as well as trophies and awards they won over the years. In the back building there are many personal cars that they have collected over the years such as a model t and various older cars.

Impressive display of racing history with working models of numerous cars used by the Unser family throughout their racing career.

Thanks Al for the museum. I brought back fond memories of racing days with my dad. Enjoyed the exhibits.

A great collection of cars in the Unser family history, which illuminates much of not to distant racing history. Also, the difficulty for a "driver" to collect such a collection is described by the docent who leads you on the tour. The cars aren't owned by the driver and may be "parted out" by the owner to others after a season. His personal collection of cars is sort of spectacular, too.
