We have enjoyed this market on many occasions. We have purchased items in the store, supported vendors, tipped the bands and purchased CDs from the musicians. However today,I was reprimanded by one of the owners in front of other customers, for having brought a diet pepsi on site. The owner scolded me saying that they cannot pay for the music or make money if you bring your own drinks.I seriously doubt that my one drink would cause a financial hard ship.I do not appreciate being reprimanded publicly or even in private for such a non valid reason.Iam sure that the monies that we have spent in the past there, more then outweighs the profit lost from 1 diet pepsi.

Every weekend is filled with wonderful local talents - from live music to Intertantion dance performances. All this entertainment is FREE! Why not spend the afternoon - bring your own lunch or buy coffee and snack at the coffee shop, and enjoy it while relaxing under the beautiful Land of Enchantment sky. A MUST 'VISIT'!! The vendors sell beautiful jewelry, orniments, paintings, furnature, and so much more --- all sold by local artist! I recommend as much time as you can spend, since there are normally 2 different performances, many uniques gift ideas, and a great escape w/ amazing views of the mountain. Bring your favorite book to read -- its very peaceful!

This is a beautiful venue to shop for unique and everchanging art. Hang out with a coffee and listen to fabulous and diverse music. It's always cool in the mountains and a respite fro Albuquerque's summer heat. I buy all my gifts here and avoid the malls while finding new and different item to please the receivers!

The artists and their works are enjoyable and affordable. Anna and the employees of the market will make you feel like family. They are fun and friendly, entertaining and warm. The entertainment they have is fabulous!!!! They have many local artists, singers, bands, dancers for your pleasure and entertainment... you will have your favorites that will keep you coming back. There are crafts for youngsters, and Hool-a-hooping for all of us kids at heart. The store has wonderful candles, and clothing, jewelery and crafts made by locals and abroad. Lets not forget to mention, they make a FANTASTIC CUP OF JAVA...We have been going for the past few years, and we go at least every other weekend if not every weekend. with the artists always changing and the entertainment always a variety to enjoy, you find yourself saying, there is nothing to do "lets go to Tijeras" and its always a great time to be had.So, put the kids in the car, the dog on it's leash, and set aside a few hours to get out and support your locals. Its the Place to be.Thanks for all the good times, Once again we are looking forward to this years Market!!!

Feel like exploring but don't want to head to far out of town? Just 7 miles east of Albuquerque in the Village of Tijeras, there is a must see venue! Local artists, performers, and musicians all gather in the shady trees at the Tijeras Open Air Arts Market. From May- October, this is an awesome weekend event unlike any in the area. The cool mountain breezes fill the Market air with fresh brewed gourmet coffee, as patrons stroll the grounds, settle for a family picnic, enjoying fun local music and art. Very family and leashed pet friendly, this is a wonderful place to take visitors and close enough to enjoy several times through out the season! And as an added bonus it's FREE!!

They have different music and performances every weekend. Every artist does beautiful, original work. There's a wonderful coffee shop with snacks and a shady portal to relax under and enjoy the show. Bring a picnic, or come out to walk around and shop for art, jewelry, clothes, and crafts. There are lots of plants and tall shade trees, everyone is friendly and inviting. You can dance, hula hoop or just relax!
