Tierra Wools is located in the small village of Los Ojos, in Northern New Mexico. It is a very interesting and educational site where a cooperative of weavers in the Rio Grande tradition have come together to preserve their heritage and create exquisite weavings. They offer classes which I hope to be able to take in the futre. They are also very friendly and explain the process from raising the sheep that produce the wool through dying and spinning and finally weaving the rugs and blankets and other items that are offered for sale.
