thanks to way to many people who had to bring their dogs to the event. All we saw were on leashes, but large to tiny, they were in the way of being able to walk the venue unobstructed, were scaring small children and obviously the inconsiderate owners did not think about people who had allergies to animals.Other than that .... there were many artists with a huge variety of creations to offer from artistic items to fresh produce, bakery and prepared foods.

Many local artists and those who just love to make crafts attend this event every Wednesday and Saturday. This event has been listed as the 2nd largest in New Mexico - second only to Santa Fe. The walk is worth the time and bring a few bucks because you will find something you will want.

What a broad cultural display. Well worth a few hours on a Saturday morning. Food, crafts, a fish market. An all around wonderful experience.

While traveling west, Las Cruces was on our must stop, revisit list with the intent of being there on a Friday night so we could experience the Farmers Market on Saturday morning. It did not disappoint. The market was about 3 blocks long on main street with ample parking. There were vendors of all sorts with an eclectic mix of merchandise, food and entertainment. We purchased too much of everything as vendors were hard to resist and so customer friendly. One of our favorite finds was a jalapeno pepper cooker for the grill........wow. This is such a unique item and we can't wait to get to a grill and give it a try. Super friendly family and we learned Grandpa makes them along with the grandson. Lots of food to enjoy and the coffee smelled amazing. There were a few food trucks at the location with all sorts of local favorites. Entertainment was present throughout the market ranging from American Idol worthy guitar players to a fun trio playing a fiddle and guitars from atop a wash tub playing 60's songs. Each time we left a tip, there was a genuine "thank you" or smile that you don't usually see.It was a great start to the day!

We were on vacation in Las Cruces and happened to see something about this street fair in a publication. Apparently this is held twice a week. It seems like approx. 13 city blocks were closed to traffic and it was full of merchants. It was a charming event with fresh veggies, crafts and stuff to eat. Fun morning!!

Take a beautiful sunny day and a market filled with many many hand made items and fresh farm produce and you have the makings for a great time and possibly find that unique Christmas gift.

Went their with the kids. Was not impressed. Everything was priced way too high. We won't go again. The music was pretty good. The crafts were a joke.

Worth you trip Food ,music, craft and produce. While visiting you can taste local flavors. Burritos tortas, enchiladas, waffles, kettle corn, coffee and much more.

In my opinion, this is one of the "must experience" attractions in Las Cruces. Farmers, craftspeople, musicians, artists, and food vendors all blend together to made this street market a neat experience. The laid back atmosphere together with the climate and culture of Las Cruces work well together to make an early morning stroll through the market enjoyable. If you are in Las Cruces on a Saturday Morning, go to the market, buy a locally roasted coffee or an agua fresca, walk around, buy something, and get a feel for the culture of Las Cruces.

The farmers market was a little disappointing going on a wednes... very few artist vendors. But the produce we bought was excellent and the prices were good. Saturday would be a better day to attend.

The season dictates how plentiful the produce selection is, but there are always plenty of interesting handmade crafts of all kinds, even into the winter holiday season. Everything is local to the Mesilla Valley and surrounding area, so it is a nice way to support local farmers and craftspeople. Many times there are impropmptu musical performers. There are many food vendors and there is almost always a line for the kettle corn! The Humane Society also usually has some of their animals visiting looking for fur-ever homes. No high pressure salesmen, and some vendors are willing to bargain. The market also sets up on Wednesday mornings, but it is a much smaller offering. A really fun atmosphere, very family friendly.

Many crafts and fresh veggies. We picked up a lovely silver peice made from antique silver- really unique. The sellers are NOT pushy and a pleasure to do business with. Great variety of wares.

I read that Wednesdays were not as bust as the Saturday Market. It was very small but I am not sure where other reviewers were when they said there were no produce booths, there were a lot. There was even someone selling a giant bag of chilis. Super dog friendly, bring your pet with you. No one will even bother you.We loved the jewelry and even bought some from the awesome guy who makes jewelry from antique spoons. Seriously, do NOT miss his booth. Lots of art everywhere, you can really just take photos all day long.

The Farmers and Craft Market takes up 7 blocks of Main St in Las Cruces. Plenty of parking. Main St is a pedestrian Mall during Market hours. Over 300 vendors usually on Saturday. All produce and crafts have to be grown/made in the Mesilla Valley - no imported junk. Live entertainment, food stalls and dog friendly. Great fun to people watch.
