manuelito visitor center

We were given a lot of good information on what to see in the area. We were especially interested in Route 66 - what to see, where to go and especially the history of the Mother Road!

This Visitor Center is closed from noon till 1pm because they go to lunch. So try not to get here during this time or you will have to wait outside in the heat (if it's summer o'course) as what happened to us. Anyway once it was finally open we were able to find lot of interesting brochures and maps. :)

Staff friendly and helpful on any information. Office clean and functional. Each type of information required. Thanks for the information given. Greetings from Italy.

From the single photo on trip advisor, this looks like the place we happened upon when we were looking for a rest room in Red Rock Park, east of Gallup. We found the rest rooms, enjoyed the air-conditioning, and strolled through the museum with quite a bit of good local art and cultural exhibits. It was more than we expected and we wished we had had more time to spend there.
