I try to visit every other year, October is my favorite and the weather is beautiful and the wine is the best ever. I come from California to visit and make sure the Winery is on the list of places to go. I love the relaxed and peaceful afternoon. The wine is the reason I keep returning and I can only get one case to take home. That is all the room I have in my car. I have a very hard time getting all the wines that I love and someday I hope to buy one bottle of every wine they make. Make sure that you drop by before you leave the San Juan River area.

Wow, what a great spot hidden along the San Juan River. Best place to catch local music and have a great meal on Sundays during the summer under the huge trees. Love the fall Harvest Festival, wonderful crafts and great food for sale. Music is always awesome. Family owned and worked, you'll love the relaxing atmosphere. Now there is the fantastic award winning wine. . .Girls Are Meaner is my all time favorite and now I can buy it in Durango, CO along with there many other well priced, fabulous wines. Lots more fun to go directly to the winery and sampling to find your favorite. You won't be disappointed!

Wines of the San Juan is a wonderful place to visit. From their wonderful staff to their award winning wines, a visit to this winery is a must. You can sit on their porch swing and enjoy the beautiful landscape while sipping their wines. They have a great variety of wines so there is no doubt that one will suit your taste. And, by the way, they allow you to sample their wines before making a selection. In the summer, they have free music on Sunday's. It is my favorite place to sit and unwind, disconnecting from the electronic world and connecting with nature at the same time.

Upon sign up, our employees go over the wine club contract with our customer, as to assure that there is not confusion about the 6 month / 3 shipment commitment agreed upon at sign up. We have included an early cancellation fee clause in the contract, as to deter those that would take advantage of the 20% off initial purchase when signing up as a club member, only to cancel their membership early. This is standard in the industry. The Wine Club contract says that the Club wines are to be chosen by our winemaker. One of the perks to becoming a member is that members are the first to receive newly released wines. Our internationally awarded wines do vary in pricing, as you can plainly see on our website. This was a special release of an exclusive, limited supply, reserve wine to our Club members only. The winery shipping policy is to charge Club Members the day of their Wine Club shipment, just before the boxes are loaded onto the UPS truck. As our employee received a very concerned call from you that day regarding the charge, we refunded your card immediately, and stopped shipment. Unfortunately, it can take days for your credit card company to record the credit in their system. Our employee did forget to remind you over the phone that there would be an early cancellation fee, per the Wine Club contract that you signed, and we apologize for that inconvenience. (All employees were retrained in handling Wine Club cancellations.) A manager from the winery contacted you as a courtesy, to remind you of the cancellation charge, and attempted to come to a solution with your account that would be agreeable to both parties. No solution was reached, as there was an apparent disconnection of the telephone conversation, the same of which happened when another manager received your phone call the following day. We encourage all to read the terms of a contract before signing.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short excursion to this winery whilst travelling through Farmington in New Mexico. The location is very picturesque and the young lady we had providing the complimentary wine tastings was very informative and knowledgable of the winery and its products. We would recommend you visit this winery if travelling through the region as a pleasent stop for a short respite on your journey.

Just had the pleasure of visiting Wines of The San Juan in Blanco, NM; what a wonderful experience. First of all, the setting is beautiful and the grounds surrounding the tasting area were amazing. The wild gardens were all in bloom, hollyhocks, Russian sage, wild sunflowers and many other wildflowers I don't know. True New Mexico funky chic. There were a group of very vocal geese and the horses in the pasture were joining in the music. Fat bumblebees loved the violet colored flowers and hummingbirds darted in and out among the feeders and hollyhocks. A cat lazed on the roof of the tasting room. It couldn't have been more idyllic. Then we tasted the wine! Usually a fan of red I was surprise at how much I loved their excellent whites...not surprising as they have won many awards. We bought two bottles plus some fresh blackberries off their bushes, yum. There are very clean, nice port-a-potties for your convenience and a three sink outside hand washing area with a mirror, great soap and hand lotion...it made it so much fun to wash your hands. Whoever set this up and decorated the sink area did a beautiful job; like a room only outside. The woman working in the tasting room was so nice and friendly, as were a couple of other owners/staff members we met. If you find yourself in or near Blanco, New Mexico (just east of Bloomfield, NM) do yourself a favor and take at least a few minutes to visit this vineyard and winery; you won't be sorry.

Marcia and David were great and very accomodating. The outside tasting room is very unique. We tasted several of the wines and we were not disappointed in the flavors. We enjoyed a glass of wine (Girls are Meaner) relaxing in the outdoor seating area. Worth the trip.

Wines of the San Juan is set in a beautiful valley, close to Navajo Dam, NM. It is green, cool and beautiful on a summer day. Such a wonderful get away from the normal browness and heat of much of NM. The Sunday afternoon/evening music is aways wonderful! The owners, David and Marcia and their family are wonderful hosts, and their wines are the best in the state, as well as national award winners. You can taste, buy a glass or buy a case of your favorite. Their selection is large and varied. You can't go wrong with a visit any time to Wines of the San Juan!

We have visited a lot of wineries in California and the wine here certainly matches anything we have tasted. I loved "Girls Are Meaner" and brought home three bottles. Unfortunately I have already drank two of them and I can't get any more! Guess I need to drive back to New Mexico soon!
