This is a gorgeous area. We stopped while on our Tauck winter wonderland tour. So beautiful in the winter with all the snow and few people around.

great picture to show off to family and friends. Easy to get to so it can get crowded. Beautiful in the winter.

This was one of my favorite spots in Yellowstone, it was just breathtaking. Lots of good views from the "tourist" spots. Must see.

The best location to view the upper and lower falls is from the scenic vantage point located approx 1 mile north of the falls... ...if you're looking for a great background for a family photo, this is it!

Recently visited the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River located in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The Park Service has provided two viewing areas offering photo opportunities of the Lower Falls.Even in winter there is ample water in the River and the added visual of ice. If you are interested in a "keeper", try to focus on the falls and keep the sky our of your Field of View.Enjoy!

The view of the falls is amazing. We went early in the morning to avoid all of the tourists and were successful. If you try to go during the middle of the day, just be aware that this planets packed.

Sounds strange, but the lower falls are three times higher than the upper falls. The river runs north, which is counterintuitive, but once you grasp that, it all falls into place.

The lower falls of the Yellowstone River are located in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. You cannot appreciate the immensity of the lower falls until you see it. The canyon itself is over 20 miles long and the falls themselves drop more than 300 feet. The volume of water varies with the season but is more than 5,000 gallons per second. Those little dots you see on the right side at the top of the falls are people, just to give you perspective.

The waterfalls and hitting this road and stopping at all the falls and walking into them is one of the best experiences you can have. The walks are easy and close, but watch young children carefully. It is so beautiful and incredible, especially in the spring run off.

Yellowstone has 45 named waterfalls and this is one you must see. We only had 3 days in the park and I picked the highest recommended must sees in the park

absolutely breathtaking in every sense of the word!! you have to take the 328 steps down into the trail but don't let that throw you off, the hike is tough enough but the views are priceless its a must see

Lovely view. Seen at a distance from Artists point, or even better, up close from Uncle Tom's trail. Don't miss.
