We did rent a new one bedroom suite for one night and one night at the Snow Lodge (since we were go all around Yellowstone and knew how long we needed to stay at each place been here multiple times). The room was a little small but, at least we had our own bathroom (some of the rooms you do have to share a communal bathroom). The hotel is very rustic and pretty. The location is great especially to see Old Faithful

There is a reason they refer to her as OLD FAITHFUL....Fantastic destination for a Winter Vacation. My sister had never been on a Winter Escapade....WoW....what fun...Snowmobiled 108 Miles through the park....Hiked up past the Geiser ....the Bombidere is a great mode of transportation...only way to get to the INN. If you like 2 feet of snow a day...this is a must see destination.

I hear that there are secret rooms and passageways. This is an old inn. The beams are magnificent. We didn't stay in a room but ate in the dining room and looked around. It is worth a visit!

A couple years ago I visited the park on the way home to Co. I arrived at the "Big Squirt" late in the early evening, I and my companion were very tired and neede rest, but we did not have reservation, however I thought I would give a it a try. I asked if there was a cancellation or some other means to get a room for the night. The asst mgr was waiting on me and told me that there might be something. He checked and there was a room that was in the remodeling area and was somewhat in disarray, I told him I would take it. The room was comfortable but without bathroom space - it was just down the hall. Excellent space for a weary traveler

If you like unique buildings and popular attractions, it's worth visiting, even if it's just to see the lobby. If you spend the night, be sure to check out the lobby late at night or early in the morning to see it without all the crowds. The balcony over the entrance is a nice place to relax with a drink and watch Old Faithful go off. I've found the building to be memorable all the way back to when I was a little kid staring up at the little windows far out of reach.

an approximate time of when Old Faithful will blow. If you don't want to walk out and sit on the bleachers close to Old Faithful, you can sit on the Inn's porch in a relaxing rocking chair... the distance fully enables you to capture the erupting geyser with your camera. There are lots of choices of food types here.

OLD FAITHFUL INN! ONE OF A KIND!! I felt like a Viking Princess who lived in a castle that's made totally of uniquely beautiful wood gathered around my kingdom! :D I especially loved the high-ceilinged lobby! The highest part of the ceiling was a small structure that looked like a treehouse. I wondered if it was, at one time. The ARCUTECT OWNER WAS ABSOLUTELY A CREATIVE GENIUS! I loved the uniquel staircases & banisters! Even the front door of the Inn was totally out of this world! I loved the fact that Old Faithful Inn isn't cut out of the regular hotel designs. EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFULLY BUILT & IT SHOWED THAT A LOT OF CAREFUL THINKING & PLANNING WAS PUT INTO IT! 100 YEARS OLD + & IT'S STILL STANDING PROUD!Another bonus is that the OLD FAITHFUL GEYSER is just around the bend! :DOLD FAITHFUL INN IS A RARE GEM!

This big wood lodge sits on the property of the famous geyser Old Faithful (which erupts every hour) It at the beginning was a rough time, we reserved a room with two king beds and a geyser view window, we got there and they gave us a bottom floor room with a single king sized bed and no AC with a parking lot view! When we confronted the desk staff, they said someone was already in OUR reserved room. After two days in they moved us up but it still was not the room we reserved. Long story short, we never got our $100 pre-paid reserved room!

We took the time to go inside and look around the Inn when we stopped to see Old Faithful. If you walk up to the second floor they have a coffee bar and also a bar. You can then take your beverages and sit out on a covered deck and get a great view of Old Faithful. It was a nice way to spend a little time. We also ate dinner at the restaurant. It was a BUSY place, but still worth taking the time to stop and see.

We had some time to kill before Old Faithful was scheduled to erupt, so I asked the family to walk through the hotel lobby with me. Amazing architecture with a log cabin feel. Three floors that I counted that overlook the lobby. Wooden staircases, Crow’s Nest, large stone fireplace (and a great price for a beer in a National Park - $4.00). When I told the kids that the lodge in the Pixar movie, “Planes: Fire and Rescue,” was modeled after the Old Faithful Inn, they became even more impressed.

My family (husband, 2 teenage sons & I) spent 2 nights here during the 1st week of June. It was plenty busy so I don't think we would've enjoyed it as much later in the summer with bigger crowds. Being able to walk out to the geysers based on their approximate timetables in the lobby was nice. The meal in the restaurant was wonderful (pricey for a family) and the ambiance can't be beat.

Take a few minutes after seeing Old faithful erupt and walk over to the largest lodgepole pine building in the world. The lobby is impressive. Climb the stairs and find a seat on the railing. A perfect place to relax and people watch. The ice cream shop sells huckleberry frozen yogurt which is an absolute MUST. Get a cone and head to the 2nd floor balcony patio for another viewpoint (with seating) of another Old Faithful eruption….

The Old Faithful Inn is a place to go and unwind and enjoy nature. The original rooms, while providing no bathroom, are definitely a treat to stay in. Other rooms offer clean accommodations.

After Old Faithful finished we wandered over tho the Inn. Awesome building construction in timber. Huge fireplaces in towering main foyer. Spent some time just relaxing in the comfy chairs, shopping and then onto the 2nd floor deck to watch Old Faithful spout again.
