My son was married here in September and it could not have been more perfect. The wedding was outside and the reception was in the livery stable. Plenty of room. The only drawback was it isn't heated, but that was only an issue when someone left the doors open! What a quaint place and one of many treasures that the little town of Lander has to offer!

Our family highly recommends spending time here, take the time to read up on all the local legends and hidden gems of Fremont county.

Came to see the place at 9:15 am, as it should have opened at 9. Nobody on the premises, no sign of what was happening. Irresponsible!

Just returned from a family wedding. It was held in the Livery Stable on the grounds of the museum. What a perfect setting! It was convenient to our hotel. It was extremely historically interesting. The entire grounds are wonderful. What a little treasure in Lander!

the Museum has special events such as Indian dancing during the summer months and concerts in the barn in the winter. It's shows how this area was populated and developed.

This museum is worth a stop. The antiques and indian artifacts are outstanding. The people working are extremely helpful. It is free but there is a box for a donation. If there is any interest in these type of artifacts...please vist!!

The outside portion of the museum was outstanding - you walk among the buildings and get a real sense of the old west. The inside is quite well done too -- not boring (I'm not the biggest museum fan usually). The staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful - this is one museum you can go to again and again and always enjoy.

This is a great museum. It is very well done. It is definitely worth a visit. All the displays are designed and displayed very well. The museum is run by volunteers and they were very friendly and helpful. The relocated and preserved buildings outside in back are great examples Old West buildings and worth seeing. We also attended the Wednesday night Indian song & dance that was outstanding. The Chief explained the dances before they were performed. There is no fee for any of this but donations are accepted. They do pass a hat at the end of the Indians' performance.

We arrived here at 4pm just as they closed but thank you to the wonderful Maggie Appleby who insisted on opening up to show us the buildings and tell us the history about the area. She really put herself out to show us around which was really appreciated. They have done a fantastic job recreating these historic buildings. A visit to remember! Thank you Maggie.

I am pleased that I could add this museum to the list. This is one of those places too easily overlooked by the casual tourist and it needed to be added to the TripAdvisor listing. There are several outstanding examples of First Nation artwork on display modern and historic. both the exhibits inside and outside are worth going through and spending time viewing. There is an old camp wagon on the first floor that teaches you more about the subject in a few short minutes than you could ever believe. This museum is a great example of what can be done to make Western, American history come alive and be something to go wow over.
