外观看去,俩美术馆都一般。倒是去了Holocaust Museum,全黑色。达拉斯也有Holocaust Museum.两个城的构架有点像,都有艺术区。休斯敦的艺术区边还有“天际线区”。

I really enjoy how the Houston Museum District is divided into 4 sections, or walkable 'zones'; many with free parking and easy access from Houston's Metrorail. It is also enjoyable that many of the museums are either 'always free' or have specific 'free times' where no admission fee is required. Some of the 'always free' museums would include the Rice Gallery, Houston Center for Photography, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and the Lawndale Art Center (amongst others). A few of the specific 'free times' museums would include The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Houston Zoo; the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Holocaust Museum Houston. (Most of the 'specific free time' museums are 'free' during limited hours on Thursdays).

Must place to visit when you come to Houston. Many choices to visit and browse. .Best in the mornings or on a cool day.

In about 2 square miles, there about 20 museums. Something, for sure, for everyone. There are several free parking areas, so find where you'd like to spend the majority of your time, and find the free lot near there.

As the name says, you can find a lot of museums here in this district. All of them can be reached within walking distance. So, if you interested in arts you have to get here and and check in the museums one after another. If not, just like me, it's a nice place anyway, you can get a lot of impressions by walking by.When staying around in this area, you might combine visiting the museum district with a slight detour around Hermans park, one of the best green areas in Houston.

This is a gem. More cities should have a walkable district where you can easily go to multiple excellent museums. I highly recommend this.

Great place to exercise outside while also entertaining and educating your mind; a great place to find plenty to do with the family and bond.

We only spent one day at the museums and saw only two of them. We happen to go on a Thursday and the admission was free because Shell pays for everyone that day. This city should be a destination for anyone interested in museums. I think there are nine museums. You may need three or four days to go through all of them. These museums are amazing and world class.

Over the years, my wife, family and many friends have had many great times visiting the various museums in the area. HMFA is great and has many traveling exhibits. HMNS has things to captivate all ages. HCM is great for kids of varying ages but especially 1 and up.

Many museums are closed on Sundays, the one day that we really had to spend there. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy very many museums. They offer free entrances on Thursdays to several museums if you're in the area. There's also several nice restaurants in the area.

this place is so quiet and relaxing, I loved to have a nice walk. there are just a few things to see outdoors, but i really enjoyed, they are also building something like a garden, it looks like will be awesome.

The Houston Museum District is a must visit place when in Houston for fun or work. I was there during a work visit and is absolutely impresive place. Well organized, with regular and special expositions. I was there during the Tutankamon exhibition. A breathless exhibit. The ticket was not that cheap I can tell you but it worth every cent. Parking available everywhere including the museum building.Cheers,RB

The Museum District is an awesome part of Houston. I live approximately 1 mile from here and it's one of my favorite places in Houston. You should check out Mixers and Elixirs at the HMNS. Also, the Children's Museum is also a great place to take my nieces and nephews. I will actually probably go there this Friday. You can run and bike around here as well.
