In my honest opinion, the word 'Pub' makes me think of a small establishment that is dark, and smoky and serves fish and chips or hot dogs. Brew is not small, certainly not dark and really make me lean more towards comparing it to a fast casual restaurant like Chili's or TGI Fridays.... but then again, its truly SPORTS themed with LARGE TV's in every direction that you look. I can't tell you how many times that I have gone to a sports bar with friends and happened to grab the only seat that is facing the small tv that may as well have rabbit ears and a picture tube. That wouldn't happen at Brew for sure. However, to be fair, I haven't been there for a football weekend with several games going on all at once, but I couldn't imagine there being more games than there are TV's to keep everyone happy. As for beer, I'm very boring, drinking mostly watered down Bud Light and Miller Light... but If I wanted to try some beers from around the globe, Brew has so many beers on tap that I have no idea how they have room for all the kegs! The food.... Ok, here is where it gets really interesting. I think that typical bar food is Hot dogs, burgers, cheese sticks and wings. They have all that, but the food will leave you nearly speechless when you see it, and definitely when you taste it. For example, their wings are absolutely the best I've ever had, and I've eaten wings around the world! They are bigger, they are cooked perfectly, they are lightly breaded and there are never 'Rejects' in the batch like what you get at other 'wild' places that special hot wings. And then there are the flavors... My favorite is the sweet chili coconut. I challenge you to find an equivalent! Aside from the description that I have already given regarding the size and the way that they are cooked, the FLAVOR of these wings are off the chains! They aren't swimming in sauce, but they are definitely well coated, then they are finished with a dusting of shaved coconut... I just cant describe how darn good they are! I've ordered them 3 times in two days on my last visit to El Paso.Their pizza is good and flavorful with whatever toppings that you want. Good to share over some drinks. The burgers are fantastic! I think its because they go in a slightly different direction that others. rather than just focus on the meat (which is fantastic and juicy) they use a different kind of bread than what must burger places use. They use a bun that is more yellow and almost, dare I say, sweeter like Hawaiian bread, but perfect. Finally, there are the onion rings... the beer batter is perfectly done and every bite yields onion... rather than just the first bite, followed by additional bites of empty onion coating. All in all, I feel like this place would be perfect to bring the family for dinner, the coworkers for happy hour, and the friends for fight night or big sporting events. I just wish they had one in my town!!!
