Nice grounds, no golfing. here for a wedding and reception. Bar had standard drinks. Ballroom nice, staff seemed attentive.

Can't beat this place. Love the course, facilities, and staff. Golfed here a bunch and have always had a great time no matter what time of year it is. The 19th hole is a great way to finish off the day.

TCHS Swim team/booster has had our team banquet at this venue for the last two years! The kids love it, close to home, easy to get to, and the veiw is spectacular for pics. The service was outstanding!

This is an awesome course. The Scottish equivalent of Tour18. Lot of fun to play and fun to read the history of each of the holes. Great history lesson in golf. No senior rate but worth it.

The Golf Course is great. It is part of a resort community which is still being developed. This area is going to be a very sought after neighborhood. What is already there will let you know - The future is bright! The final Club House has not yet been built, but the amenities available at present are already great. It is part of The Colony, however, it seems as though it is more part of Frisco, Texas.

I live in the Dallas area but I haven't played here for a couple of years. Man, I forgot how much fun this course is to play. It was in great shape and all of the staff was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Awesome layout will make you forget that your just 40 minutes from downtown. I think it's the best replicated course in the U.S. Do yourself a favor and check this one out when you are in the area.

Family went to try it out and what great fun we had! The food was good and the bloody Mary's are excellent ! We plan on going again soon!

The course was in EXCELLENT condition! Green, fairways and the club house... I am an average golfer and not particularly familiar with the holes that are being represented but had a great time. Everyone was helpful and friendly, will play again and would recommend it to be placed on your list of need to play courses. You may need to club up a couple for the wind but that was the only difficulty I faced. Enjoy

As everybody else notes this course recreates classic links holes from across the pond and generally does a good job of capturing the spirit of the originals. This means generous fairways on many holes, tiered greens, false fronts, deep bunkers, and good course conditions overall. Nice to see the lake on many holes and also to not have a course lined with houses. The bagpipe music coming from the clubhouse is ridiculous since you can hear it on many of the holes since they're downwind. Would not pay $129 to play weekend mornings but if you can get out during the week, $79 is reasonable and the twilight and super twilight (after 4pm and you can still get in 18 in summer) rates are even better.

This is a classic links course where the designer moved tons of dirt and created mounds, and dips, and nasty creeks. It seemed as if all the par fives played into the wind, and that there were no gimmy par threes here.This layout was created from flat Texas prairie land. This course resembles many of those old Scottish courses and many holes are named for those courses. The Tribute plays without the punitive pot bunkers and arid areas of hard pan, or the extremely high grasses typical of the Scottish rough. Here you get nice smooth greens and fairways that are tricked up with bumps and curves.Putting is tricky and there are few flat "straight in" putts. There are also plenty of uneven lies. Because the wind was blowing today the degree of difficulty increased exponentially.The club house is nice; the pro shop was friendly.We could use a bit less of the constant din of bagpipe music that goes on forever.The cart girls are friendly and efficient, but the food at the turn was very tasteless, as was the sandwich prepared by the club. What you have here is a well-conditioned golf course that plays really tough on windy days.On most holes your drive can determine your eventual score.

Nice area for a minute you will forget you are in DFW, we loved so much we built a home there. That turned out to be a nightmare! Stay away from 3204.Ballmerino, had a bunch of issues being built. Crappy foundation work, then they had to dig a hole that you could stand in 8 feet from front door only to discover they dug in the wrong spot . Needless to say we walked on the that home

The course itself is always ranked highly by Golf Magazine and other industry pubs but I've only experienced the clubhouse for functions. The facility and service are always great. They host all sorts of functions here including weddings. During the holidays the entire place is decorated in festive holiday decor and feels lavish and elegant. You can't beat the views of the lake; very picturesque.

The Tribute is a links-style layout where each hole is a replica of a variety of the famous holes that the Scottish courses sport, like; St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Royal Dornoch, Royal Troon, etc.We (foursome) played it (AM) on Saturday, April 5, 2014, overcast, 56°F (13.3°C) with 12-15 mph (19-24 kph) winds. Absolutely LOVED this course! Fabulous design! A very close to the true Scottish links experience. Fairways were in excellent shape and the greens were as true as can be! Staff was efficient, effective and affable. The food cart employee was; congenial, competent and timely, all this, and with a smile (in less than pleasant weather conditions). Adequate restrooms on course. Easy to find. Took us about 40 minutes to arrive from our hotel (Hilton Anatole, Dallas). Absolutely will return here next time in North Texas.

The worst staff makes it very difficult to even consider this as a place I want to frequent. Ask someone a question and they send you to another person... Never ending.

Ever wanted to look for a lost ball in grass two feet tall? Felt the need to hit out of a bunker you took steps to get into? Tired of playing on courses that are too green for their own good? then you have to stop by The Tribute. I've played here twice, and both times it was under 40, and the wind was 15-20. It affects the game, but makes you feel like you are really playing these famous holes from across the pond. Lots of false fronts on greens, so be smart on your puts our you wil be chipping back on. My favorite was #17 "St. Andrews." Only one road into the course that sits right on the lake. I advise watching for cops in the subdivision before you get to the end of the road. Once here, take it all in, as it is worth doing at least once.
