This was our first winery stop - not just because it was a winery, but also to investigate their lavenders offerings. The wines were pleasant, but I'm a sweet wine fan and that was not their specialty. The selection of lavender products was FANTASTIC - that's where my money was spent, both for souvenirs and for myself. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their product. Great outdoor sampling area, but the weather was not very pleasant during our visit. I would definitely return.

My husband and i went to Becker Winery as part of a tour. We enjoyed it very much. We did the wine tasting and loved the wine so we bought several bottles home with us. The grounds were very nice and we walked around and had a very relaxing afternoon.

The Malbec is a must try. Do the tour too. The tastings are worth the money. The Cab is good too. We had fun just sitting, tasting and people watching! Valentine weekend was very busy.

We really enjoyed the tasting and the grounds. There was a merlot and chocolate pairing event the day we went and that was fun. The specialty items they sell are of very good quality. We bought some homemade lavender soaps and the are exquisite! Look forward to visiting again soon

Maybe my expectations were too high but I was somewhat disappointed with Becker. The staff seemed hurried and pretentious. The grounds are stunning but I left wanting for a better experience.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Wide selection of varietals. Live music and food vendors set up on Saturday. Well worth the trip.

This vineyard has a beautiful tasting area outside. The tastings are $12 for 7 1 ounce pours of whichever 7 wines you would like to taste. They have an impressive selection of whites and reds including 3 different Cabernets, a Tempranillo, a Claret, Viognier, Chenin Blanc and Chardonays. All very nice. Wish we lived closer.

Outstanding Vineyard and tasting room about 40 minutes from Austin, very nicely setup right less than a mile off the road around 20 miles from Fredricksburg. Tasting fee was $12 bucks but included really nice full size wine glasses I believe were from Schott Zwiesel. There were even 4 wines that are only for wine club members! I did decide to join after the tour of the vineyard. I would recommend this stop to everyone traveling through the Hill Country. They do have limited food options so eat before you get there if you plan on staying a while.

We visited the vinyard for a wine tasting on the only sunny day of our whole New Years week vacation ! The tasting fee seemed a little steep - I think you are paying for the fancy wine glass that you get to keep. The pourers were friendly and happy to explain about the wines. In comparison to vinyards in other states, I would have to say that most of the wines are quite average This was the first Texas vinyard that I visited so can't compare to any other Texas vinyards. After tasting the inexpensive wines, we sampled the Raven - a red blend and it was smooth and quite nice. We bought a bottle , some cheese and crackers and ate them outside overlooking their lavender fields - a perfect ending soaking up the sun.

Soooo we finally headed to the wine country of central Texas to add to the celebration of my bday weekend. BeckerVineyards was high on the list of recommendations and they certainly didn't disappoint. The grounds are pretty and well done. I would've liked to have been in the larger building where I believe they do their normal tastings, but they were hosting a "pickup party" for their members to pick up their wine orders and have so many members now that they needed the larger building for that event...good "problem" to have and says a lot about their operation. I personally really enjoyed the award winning rosé wine called Provençal and my boyfriend bought several other reds as well. They also grow lavender there and the products they produced smelled fantastic. There was complimentary crackers with English blue Stilton, a complimentary "shot" of Port with chocolate chips and caramel combo as well as complimentary mulled wine to warm you up before heading out in the cold weather. We will be back.

Having lived in Sonoma County and worked in Napa for many years, we were apprehensive to try Texas wines. On our weekend getaway to Fredericksburg, we stopped at Becker. When we arrived there were only a handful of tasters, many more came in by the time we left, our host continued to give us the proper attention even though busy with other guests.Their wines are very good, and to our surprised we succumbed and joined the wine club, we are looking forward to the pick up parties!

Great wine, vineyard and people. It's off the beaten path but worth the short trip off the main highway. Be careful if you use GPS as ours put us out in the middle of nowhere. Must not be uncommon as their was a sign that actually said, This is not the enterance to Beckers Winery! At any rate we found it, was not that far away. We were there on a Tuesday afternoon and I was surprised at the number of people, just a bit on the crowed side. Stood in a short line and bought a tasting so we could stand around the bar waiting for space to actually get our tasting. It was well worth the wait! Some excellent wines served by very friendly people willing to answer any questions you might have. There are plenty of vineyards in the area, this is one that is well worth checking out.

We were a large party from Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Minnesota & Texas, visiting on a beautiful, crystal clear, cool fall day. We were there for a private tasting that occured in the semi-private room, away from the main tasiting room. Our host was patient, knowledgable and entertaining and the tasting and tour were very enjoyable. We loved the wine and it was cool to learn about the process that goes from the grape to the glass. Becker is one the the more mature Texas vintners, and it shows. But to me, it was the grounds and facilities that were worth the visit. The buildings and grounds are outstanding. The limestone buildings and native plants and flowers are perfect for photographers. There are many places to sit and enjoy your time with friends while taking in the sites. This place is comparable to tasting locations in Napa.

Becker Vineyards is a beautiful place to visit on a nice fall afternoon. Tastings (you get to keep the glass) and a variety of bistro food make for a very pleasant visit. You can also do a tour but usually we just go to sit, relax and enjoy the wines. There is frequently live music and you may even get to watch a wedding ceremony being held in their beautiful gardens.

We love Becker and make it a point to stop in whenever we are in town. This trip, we did not buy any wine, but did purchase a tasting, as we needed to replace some glasses that we broke last year! Clay was a great host and had great information to share. We purchased some wonderful lavender products but did not stay. The winery was very crowded and the patio was bustling. Great place!
