This prayer chapel and the land surrounding it were donated by Bo and Patty Pilgrim (of Pilgrim's Pride chicken). What a gift to all of us! The most amazing thing about it is that the doors have no lock. I have seen many prayer chapels but never one without a lock! The outside park area is beautifully landscaped with a clock tower that has a clock on all four sides as well as a four bell carillon (Paccard bells from France) in the top of the tower. "The Divine Servant" bronze is outside the front doors and is just beautiful but you don't see the best until you go through the doors! This chapel is amazing. It is an air conditioned/heated building with a praying altar as well as pews. Believe me when I say, you will be moved to pray here. The stained glass windows depict the life of Christ. It is just a wonderful experience to have been to this building and we will be back anytime we travel through this area. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Pilgrim. Note: This should be called the Witness Park and Prayer Tower (as in witnessing for Christ).

Beautiful and relaxing. Open for anyone to come and feel at peace or to take a moment to reflect. The area is very welcoming and pretty. Seems to be a spot for photographers (weddings, prom, children and families) also

This beautiful little gem is worth a small detour in East Texas. This peaceful small park and prayer tower is in the darling town of Pittsburg, TX. There is a fountain on one side and a beautiful bronze on the other of Jesus washing the feet of a disciple. In the middle of this lovely landscaped park is a 75-foot stone, clock tower, which houses a beautiful chapel (that is always open) with exquisite stained-glass windows all around, and a few benches for prayer. The clock tower chimes and play hymns on the hour. We are so glad we stumbled upon it!
