In McKinney, TX at 11am I did not expect many people to be up for a beer tour, but WOW! People show up! It's 5bucks (BRING CASH & ID) and its well worth it. The owner gave the tour, sharing the history of his family and the brewery. Its a small setup, but it was interesting and fun! I've been to the guinness factory in dublin, and it was so commercial (and expensive). This place is a great place for any beer lover who just wants to have a fun afternoon with friends with a beer in your hand. Go here and enjoy!

Really interesting information about beer - the founder does a great job. Very generous with the samples. And I have been buying Franconia beer since we took the tour.

Good Beer, and I love that they have food trucks available. The souvenir glasses are also nice. The people there are very nice as well.

You wait outside until 11 am, and the line gets pretty long. We went on a "slow" day and there were still around 75 people. You pay $5 (bring your ID!) and get to sample as much as you want. By sample, I mean you get a full size drink. The owner is fun to listen to and very knowledgeable about his product. The brewery is small, so you only walk through three rooms, but you do learn a lot and meet some interesting people along the way. There is only one toilet, so go before! Also, no place to sit so make sure you can stand. The actually commentary lasted about 20-30 minutes, but you spend as much or as little time as you want sampling beer. I had two, and was headed home by 12:15.

We went on the beer tour this past Saturday. Kids are welcome but they don't have any samples for them. There is one tour offered weekly and it is 11 am on Saturdays. Get there early as the line became very long to get in. However, they don't limit the number of people so everyone eventually got in. The owner was out sick on the day we visited so there wasn't much of a tour. They allowed us to walk and look around as much as we wanted. There were a few workers available to ask questions to. They were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The best part of the tour is free beer. We did buy some of their beer steins but it's not required. You can sample as much as you want. There are not just little samples either but large full glasses. The beer was very good.

They provide a very informative tour on how they make their craft beer which, by the way, is among the best beer I have ever had. This makes for a great activity on a rainy or rare cold day in McKinney. Enjoy the beer at most places in the area or buy some for home enjoyment.

Looking for something to do on a cloudy day? This was fun! Very humorous way of presenting the making of German beer. I am ready to explore more breweries. Staff and owner were friendly and although there may have been a crowd, it was well organized and no pushing.

We toured the brewery on Saturday of Fathers Day weekend. Over 100 people were in line when we arrived at 10:55 am. The Brewmaster Dennis was very welcoming, and made sure we all got in and had beers in hand before explaining the brewing process. What a cool way to spend a couple of hours with our young adult child.

Get ready to drink some great beer and have an informative discussion and tour of the brewery. Ten dollars gets you in the door for the beer and the tour plus you'll walk away with a great beer glass you can add to your collection. Don't miss this one!

What a fun, tasty and informative outing!!! The tour begins at 1100 am and is great! Really much different approach than other breweries. Not to be missed!!! Tasty!!!

Visiting family in McKinney and looking for local breweries; this is it in McKinney. Just a few others in the Dallas area. The owner/brewmaster is German and follows the German beer purity laws. Don't expect a pumpkin pomegranate trippel here. However, the beer was good and his story is colorful. Having been in the beer industry since he was six and family brew roots back to 1800, the guy knows what he is talking about and pulls no punches. Nothing for the kids, but they are allowed. Saturday tour on Labor Day weekend saw about 150 people and it was crowded. $5 gets you free beer. $10 includes a beer glass, but they were out; out of all merchandise. Working to catch up.
