There are so many lakes in the area. I would rather be on one to play on. Its nice to look at from the hotels above it. Buchanan is by far my favorite.

Gotta get to Marble Falls before January to walk through the lakeside christmas display!! There are thousands of lights and also lit up characters with a very safe walking path that starts at 6pm with great pictures to be taken with Santa. No dogs are allowed so leave the pooch at home. Hot chocolate is served through the walkway. Admission is free or they would love a donation

Beautiful Hotel and very well kept, immaculate. Over looks Lake Marble Falls and the Christmas lights across the lake. I wish LaQuinta had more of their Hotels like this one.The Days of unruly pets are a thing of the past as well. We travel quite extensively and LaQuinta has been our choice of Hotels along the way for our pets. However if you bring along a pet that barks like our barkievon Schnauzer does at the sound of a methane release in the hallway than you may very well find yourself sleeping outside.Anyway it makes for a pleasurable trip for all concerned just be prepared to manage your pets.

The light show is very neat to see. We came the night before Thanksgiving, and it was a good time. They accept donations at the entrance, so we gave a few dollars. We spent about 30 minutes walking through and it was fun! There are quite a few picture opportunities as well. Half way through, you can stop and get hot chocolate or apple cider...which are surprisingly pretty good! It is also right on the lake, so the view is nice. Go see it while its here!

We arrived in Marbles Falls and had a few hours to kills before a family event. We thought we'd go down to the historic downtown. After about an hour, we had seen everything there was to see. Went back to the hotel and swam until it was time to get ready to leave.

Just not much to do - and LOTS of construction. We golfed and dined on the water. Amazing skateboard park!

Wish they had more trails around the lake but it was still pretty. Next time will get a kayak or rent a boat!

I have been to this area couple of times. My 1st experience was better as when I was there last time I saw some contraction going on around the bridge. They blocked (put some marks) some parts of the lake which is close to the bridge. Overall its a very beautiful place and you can easily spend your day here in Summer. You should definitely bring something(Boat, Jet Ski, etc) for water activities. They also have a public ramp which you can use for your boat.

This is a smaller lake of the highlands lakes but beautiful. For a bigger lake for swimming, skiing, and fun I suggest Lake LBJ just west of the city. Head toward Kingsland for lake access and a scenic drive.

It is beautiful on the lake or off watching the sunset. Lake is always even level and nice whether its cold or hot. Very peaceful except when boat races then it is loud but fun, fun, fun!

Lake was so nice and we enjoyed the Christmas Lights shining on the water. Lovely view out our window of the lake.
