I've play this course many times over the years and It has been consistently challenging and very well kept. I would recommend it to any golfer looking for a new favorite. The people are great and the foods good too. Make a day of it you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this course. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition, not that I spent a lot of time in the fairway. Some ponds, creeks and a river running through or around the course. Purchased the course guide and it gave some good tips for playing the course. Would definitely play this course again and you can't beat the price.

This is a great place to get away for a quick night or 2 and you would never know that the dfw metroplex was less than 1 1/2 hours away. You feel like you are truly someplace special with beautiful Trees and nature a plenty. The cottage rental is a must. It is clean and cozy, perfect for unwinding before and after golf! We had the 9 hole course Ll to ourselves to play over and over again. -and we did just that! We played, laughed at the # of balls we lost to the water and teed up again for another try. At night we went to a catfish cafe that was out of this world amazing with the food, quantity, service and price. Beware, they do not serve alcohol here but you didn't miss it,Challenging course and fun times all weekend, even a hole in one for one of the members of our golf group! Highly recommend!

Beautiful place to play golf. Very well cared for golf course. Good variety of holes. Many holes require good placements of your shots or you will not have good angle to the green due to the tight fairways. Lots of trees, creeks and ponds. Very fun to play. You will enjoy your round. Reasonably priced too! Take a few extra balls!

Spent the day riding with my friend in a golf cart as our husbands played golf. The course is beautiful - very lush - good food at the Turn, also.

First played Sugar Tree shortly after we moved to Texas in 1987. Over the years it has matured into a very scenic yet very playable course. Good variery of holes, most bend one way or the other, Good variety of up-hill & downhill holes. Only two instances where holes slightly parrell one another. Greens are usually in very good condition and most are fairly large with undulations. Since the course is located 45 -50 miles from downtown Fort Worth it typically is not super crowded. Even at that distance playing here is a no brainer for serious golfers a few times each season. Well worth the trip for the casual golfer because this course is very unique in that all the holes are tree lined which you don't find on most courses in Texas

A few miles South of the Interstate is the great golf course. The course and surroundings are really nice. The course is pretty challenging.
