This is a very excellent museum and it is dedicated to Veterans of wars from WWI to Desert Storm. They even have a veteran in the back who talks about his experiences, but he may not be around much longer. There are journals written by several vets which you can stop and read. This is a very user friendly place.

My father, who helped to get funding to build this museum, passed away a couple of weeks ago. Hi memorial service, appropriately, was held at this museum. The people who run the museum could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

I greatly enjoyed this museum, friendly staff and a lot of things to look at!If you're in Huntsville, don't miss this museum because its a very rewarding experience. People with smaller children, beware. There are items on display that is not behind glass, so a lot of grabby things. Hope you enjoy this!!

They started with photos and family history on display in a shopping center, moved on to a museum in the shopping center, and now have home of their own with photos, artifacts, and frequent presentations. There is even a library of books about the wars.

The museum has excellent volunteers to direct tours, displays both inside and outside the museum, and recently completed a Vietnam Veterans Memorial Garden dedicated to the veterans lost from Walker County during the Vietnam Conflict. This museum covers all of the wars of the 20th century as well as static displays of memorabilia from each of the branchesof the military service.

Their museum is large and nicely laid out. Displays date back toWorld War 1. Friendly volunteers are very helpful and offer tours. Outdoors on display are a fighter jet, army tank, and 2 helicopters (one's a Huey.) Very interesting and historical. My husband donated his Coast Guard uniform for display. I highly recommend a visit when in Huntsville.

The price is reasonable and veterans get discount to enter, wife was interested in the weapons I used during my time in the military some that they have on display here along with the equiment that I operated.

They have a wonderful history of each of the armed forces divisions. They have helpful volunteers that can answer any of your questions (most of them are retirees). You can view the numerous displays on your own, or have one of the volunteers assist. Their displays and uniforms go back to WW1. Interesting and informative.

My Veteran & I visited the museum and had a guide to tour the facility. We saw so many interesting people on the wall. The history is very much worth the trip. I believe you will be in awe. You can visit their web-site.

I visited HEARTS with a large group of family members, about half of whom were veterans, and they had a great time looking around at the displays and sharing stories with other veterans. There is a lot of interesting memorabilia that was donated to the collection, and the volunteers who work at the museum were really nice and helpful.
