Go in the early morning. It can get super hot out in the field and that might limit your bounty. The berries are worth the trip. Kids love it. They have blackberries too!

This place is really sweet, love the people that work there. Not too many places where you can grab fruit off the tree and eat it yourself. They have blueberries and blackberries that you can either pick or buy already pre-picked for you. Also amazingly yummy jams and preserves, pies and lemonade. YUM! Love to drive down here from Dallas.

I only stopped in last summer while passing thru on a motorcycle ride, but I will be back this year when they reopen. We bought some jam, some pies, and I don't remember what all ( whatever we could get in the motorcycle bags ) and loved it all. Since they are only open when the blueberries are ripe for picking we cant go back until June....but be assured, we will be back.

My husband and I went for July 4th. Its about 90 min east of Dallas. Just walk in and grab a basket. There were plenty of berries to pick and when we were done they just weigh it by the pound. The store had delicious blueberry icecream and pies, jams, etc. There were few blackberries left when we got there because it was the end of blackberry season and the owner saw that I picked just a handful that was out there. He suggested I go to the far end of the farm where he had a line of blackberry bushes that were not as touched as the ones at the front of the farm. Very helpful staff and great fun! Would make this an annual trip!

Edom is a VERY pleasant one hour drive from our house and I had never picked fresh blueberries. The farm has a greay website and an excellent selection of pastries, jellies, jams, and syrups. The owner does an excellent job as farmer and retailer. I rated the visit as a four instead of a five only because, to me, no "farm" experience is worth a five

love this place. have been twice in the summer and never knew picking blueberries could be so relaxing. Yes, it's hot out there but there is a gift shop/refreshments building on the grounds, with covered patios and picnic tables attached to get some relief from the heat. Just love it here. May not be good for little kids cause they would get bored and hot ( at least mine would, you may have better children..hahaha) but older kids can sit while you pick if they want.AND the blueberries are so yummy and can be frozen and then used year round.

This was my 10 yr old daughter's first time picking summer blueberries as part of our family tradition. They were plentiful and falling off the bushes! We went early in the morning about 7:30am and picked for an hour. Not hot at all! Our haul: 5lbs of fresh picked berries for $8. Super cheap and super sweet! Going into the store part of it, we found rare blueberry ice cream and blueberry lemonade and we bought both. Delicious!!! All in all, a MUST VISIT if you're in the Canton/Grand Saline/Edom/Terrell area.
