I live in La Porte and wanted to spend the weekend in the Woodlands, found this place online and it was AWESOME!! I took my niece who is nearly 5 years old. She had the best time. So much for kids to do. She liked the zipline the best. A gentleman with his grandkids was showing her how to play the jumbo chess game. We played the connect 4. The food was very good and priced reasonable. I will be back and bring the 2 year old with me next time.

Both of my kids had a blast here and absolutely loved the animals. There is no other place i have found that can keep my children busy all day for $6 and the staff is very friendly.

We recently attended a birthday party at 7 acre and my two boys didn't want to leave! It's been several months since we visited last and the improvements are fantastic. Beautiful new playground equipment and a spruced up mini golf course were a pleasant surprise. My 10 year old LOVES the zip line and my 2 year old loves the little tikes area - which also has a really cute log cabin now. I've attended lots of birthday parties at numerous venues both indoor and outdoor and this is the first place that didn't rush the kids and heard them from one activity to another like cattle. The staff was very organized and fun loving. I will definitely be taking my kids back this fall. I'm thrilled to have a place where their imaginations are stimulated and they can just run and play. I would absolutely schedule a play date or party here.

Waste of money, I won't ever go back. Place needs an over haul BAD. The staff and the set up of admission is very un organized. Don't even get me started about their pathetic pumpkin patch and prices of pumpkins, (we left and bought them from kroger). The money u would spend there you can go to dewberry farms, just a little drive. Oh and the animals are fat and lazy in tiny, tiny pens.

As a photographer, I love this location for rustic portrait sessions. The owners are open to allowing photographers out there--just need to pay the admission fee. Of course, as is proper etiquette, they just ask that you not hinder their other guests from enjoying the place. As a mother, I love taking my kids our here to roam around and do a variety of things without getting bored fast. I also like that it's a very "open" concept so that your kids can run a little more free and you can still see them. If you bring your own food, you just need to eat it outside the front and then go back in, but they have tables and chairs out there for you. Great place!

We are sorry you feel this way. We realize being an outside venue that the Texas heat is an issue. We have recently installed 3 commercial fans in our courtyard area to help circulate air and help cool down our customers. We also realize that there are things that need updating. Since we purchased the property/business 2 years ago, we have been working on replacing and upgrading structures, but this takes time and money. We hope that you will come back and see all the recent updates such as the updated golf course and new playground from Game Time, featured in the picture.

We thank you for the feedback. We have analyzed all the feedback re: the llamas and we are going to be separating the llamas into a separate area so that people do not feel afraid of entering the petting zoo. The wood has been ordered and the fencing should be completed by mid September at the latest. People can still feed them from outside the fence of their new separate section, if they choose. We also have discussed the issue with all of our staff on how to handle situations such as this one in the future. We do apologize and hope that you will visit us again.

We took our 3 year and 4 1/2 grandchildren and they just loved it. At first it didn't look like much, but the kids could have stayed all day. Things could be spruced up a little and painted with nice bright colors. It wasn't crowded even on a Saturday, so the kids had no problem doing anything they wanted. We stayed three hours and the kids would have stayed longer if we let them. The putt-putt course was being redone and it was really nice.

This was so great. Not to expensive lots of fun things to do. We have a 7 month old and a 2 year old they both loved it. The animals loved getting pets. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we lived closer I'd go every week! Watch the donkeys though they get a little jealous.

This place was an absolute blast for me and my young children! All of the staff was nice and greeted us the very moment we walked in. They had a brand new ping pong table which was fun for me to join in on! They also had a big connect four game that the kids really enjoyed! There were things under construction like the mini golf but were signs stating they were updating which is understandable. The petting zoo animals were so loving and came right up to us gently taking the food from our hands which we purchased for 5 dollars which was enough food for all 4 of us. My kids favorite was the zip line! They went down the zip line probably 30 times before they were ready to move on to something else. Let's just say they were occupied for the entire 4 hours we stayed. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family that have young children!

We apologize that your experience at 7 Acre Wood was dissatisfying. At the time of your visit, our golf course was in the process of being renovated. Unfortunately, we experienced a lot of rain during the month of June and as a result, the project took longer than originally expected. In the beginning of August, we replaced the wooden play area with a brand-new playground from Game Time. This process, however, took several months beginning with the product review all the way through to the installation. We do our best to update and replace equipment but being an outdoor venue, they can start to look weathered quickly. We appreciate your feedback and will review how often we replace the equipment. We did check the cars after your review and found one missing a steering wheel. This was immediately removed from play.We hope that you will come back perhaps at one of our free community events in October and December to see the recent updates and also visit the many animals that we have in our petting zoo. In additional to the ponies, goats, and llamas you mentioned, we have rabbits, cats, chickens, a Scottish Highlander cow, a sheep, ducks, a tortoise, mini donkeys, and one mini donkey who recently had a new baby, named Cupid.

A lil young for our 10 & 12 yr old - though we all enjoyed the animal petting area with the one day old goat & the young cow! Would definitely be a fun time for 4 to younger 9 yr olds!! Staff seems friendly...grounds could use some updates. Worth the low cost to feed & interact with the animals & do some people watching!

After reading some reviews about birthday parties, I'd like to chime in. (warning, long and detailed.)I have to say first, to be fair, I have no idea which package the mother of the birthday child selected, but from the description online it seems like the basic package. The party was scheduled for 12 pm on an overcast day. The mom of the birthday child said that she had signed up for pizza and drinks first, play second, but since it seemed like it was likely to rain, maybe we'd like to play first and have lunch second. It turned out to be a great idea, because after playing about an hour, it started pouring. The play areas, what can I say? They're endless. There is a large playground for older children, with many climbing features. My 4 year old was in heaven with the "rope wall." They had 2 or 3 swingsets. Regular size, baby size, and even some larger swings. They had scooters, both Razor style and the type that I remember from elementary school gym class. They had a kid sized zip line. Again, my 4 year old loved it. They had large outdoor games. (checkers and chess.) They had a small playground for toddlers. They had a track for kids to ride in those little foot powered cars. They had a sand play area with lots to do. They had a petting zoo with llamas, mini donkeys, and baby goats. They baby goats were the friendliest little things I'd ever seen. They had a pony ride set up for $5 a kid. The guy took my kids each on 4 laps around, which is more than you get elsewhere. There are tetherball and horseshoe set ups. Two volleyball set ups. A soccer set up. A basketball set up. A fake little town with cash registers, play kitchens, a pretend jail, etc. Just so much to do, I am probably forgetting some things. Now to the party. We had one table for our group, but there were not any other parties at that time, so all the adults had plenty of room to sit. Had there been other parties, we probably would have been pretty squished. The kids seemed to have a lot of pizza. I know my kids each had two slices, and I know we had at least 20 kids at the party. There were also pitchers of lemonade, and I never heard anything about one drink per person. I guess the mom paid for that in advance or at the time maybe? But that wasn't an issue. They provided the plates, cups, napkins, and forks, and some balloons, and the color scheme matched the party theme. The game they played was that each kid got to be a "fisherman" and throw a fishing pole over a fence. Girls got a stuffed toy, boys got a new in package hot wheels car. So no need to do goody bags, your favor is taken care of. The adults at this party didn't get food, but there were lots of choices. Sandwiches, frito pie, salads, and drinks, and they were all reasonably priced. I think a sandwich plate with chips and brownie was $6. I am a vegetarian adult and they let me order a kids meal without upcharging me. (there are no vegetarian adult meals, but kids meal has pb&j.) After the party, they allowed us to play as long as we wanted. The rain stopped by then, and I stayed about 2 more hours. I had a great time, and it seemed like other people did as well. If the pricing is what I think it was, then it was about $400 for kids to have food, activities, decorations, and a party favor. Maybe more for the pitchers of drinks? Not bad at all, and no time limit for play. I definitely plan to return, and hopefully host a party in the future.

We visited the park and were greeted by friendly faces. We bought a bag of feed and had so much fun feeding the animals. They have 5 little baby goats that were adorable, all the animals were friendly, and the kids enjoyed every minute. They have plenty for all ages. They have those giant outdoor games like chess, checkers and connect 4. They have these new scooters that my kids played on around a track. But, my kids liked the kid's size zip line, the best!!!If you wanted, you could buy tickets for pony rides, paintball, or barrel car rides. I liked that they didn't charge one price for all because my daughter didn't want to do paintball and my son didn't want a pony ride. They do have concessions. It's pretty basic but we all found things that we liked. Overall, I definitely would recommend 7 Acre Wood. It was a great experience.

We read your review and are disappointed that you were dissatisfied. The Basic Party ($185) which you requested includes admission for up to 10 children and 20 adults. This alone is a $180 value. In addition we provide the following:• Each table is set with table cloths • ½ dozen balloon bouquet• each child receives an 8 ounce cup of lemonade • 1 slice of Papa John’s Pizza. • Although we do not supply the cake, we do provide cake plates, napkins & forks for your convenience. • Also included, each child gets to participate in our Fishing Game, where they receive a prize. • In addition to these tangible items our party packages take care of the set up, the clean up, and the entertainment for your group. Our process when booking is to discuss in detail what the party provides and let you know that we will be making a courtesy call the Wednesday before your party so that we can go over the details once more. We do this to verify that nothing has changed, such as décor color, pizza toppings, etc. We also give you the opportunity at that time to add on any extras, such as food or drinks. We remind customers that any additional pizzas need to be pre-ordered so that we have them ready. We note on each party invoice whether we made contact with the customer prior to the party. We pulled your invoice and confirmed that the courtesy call and contact were made. We do offer many theme parties that include a party facilitator, but the Basic Party Package is an economical way for you to host a party. To keep our parties affordable we cannot include unlimited refills or seconds of pizza. We do, however, offer a concession stand where individual snacks and drinks can be purchased and parents can add to their party at that time. We feel that we fully explained what the party included. Although you were an hour early, we sensed that you were upset and in the spirit of providing good customer service we chose to accommodate you and set up the party table immediately. In addition, our Party Manager asked several times if you needed anything and even though it was a Basic Party, she assisted by cutting the cake. We did these extra things as a courtesy. We are a family-run business and we really tried to positively affect your experience. We are glad to see in the review that although you were dissatisfied the party was a success because the children had a good time
