This is one of my favorite golf course to play in the central Texas region. All the holes are challenging and fun to play and are always in good shape. The starters do such a great job starting everybody off on their rounds that you never feel rushed or pushed. The personnel working the pro shop and cafeteria are very friendly and helpful and surprisingly the prices in the golf shop is not too bad. The only reason for not giving it an excellent rating is because sometimes the greens can be too hard where you cannot get a ball to stick on your approach shot. Other than this, I totally recommend that you give this golf course a try. I know you will enjoy it.

Played with a group of 10 friends, various skill level players. This is a course that can be enjoyed by 5 handicaps or 25 handicaps. It's unbelievable what the city of Burnet has done for such a modest cost to the players. Greens & fairways are in excellent condition, nice cart paths. The design is excellent, we finished the round with good service & food in the 19th Hole

We played this highland lakes municipal course on a mid week afternoon. The weather was warm and windy with scattered clouds. I met, Bear, at the pro shop and he has a very cordial demeanor. This is a well run and well conditioned golf course. The greens here are about the best I've seen at this time of the year. The tees and fairways are smooth and give the golfer some great carries. The course is challenging but fair with tricky greens and narrow dog legs.Hole #1 is a par 5 with a narrow downhill fairway. You can reach the green here in two, if you stay in the middle. The first five holes are down wind. I had so many birdie attempts I was on cloud nine. Playing the holes into the wind was another matter. They do water around the greens and the collars are super thick and fluffy. Several groups allowed us to play through. It took about 90 minutes to play the front side. The back nine slowed to a crawl as we caught up. There was no Marshall on this course today. It could have helped. A fun course to play and reasonable. Burnet, Texas you have a winner.

Hadn't been here in years, and it's still good. Course was in excellent shape in the searing heat. Never met a friendlier staff. I'll be coming back.

Delaware Springs is more than you would ever expect for a public course. It is a well maintained and beautiful layout. Each hole is carved out of the Hill Country woods so you seldom see another golfer. Each hole has unique challenges to test every skill level. Rates are very reasonable. A great venue and value. It is worth the one hour drive from Austin.

Great locally owned and operated golf course. Nearby shopping and dining. A must do in Burnet
