A maze of maize! haha, little joke http://bartonhillfarms.com/corn-maze/Every fall there's the Fall Festival and Corn Maze, thru November. Very good event for families because there are tons of areas for the kids to play, including a fort, a pumpkin patch, a "cow" themed tractor-pulled train, a "ship" sandbox, swings, petting zoo with goats, etc etc etc. That and tons of room to let 'em run loose in the nice thick green grass. There are alcoholic beverages available for the adults too. Plenty of food offerings too. Live music in the evenings, piped-in music during the day. Each year the maze has a theme and this year's is Willie Nelson. To navigate the maze, you're given a passport to answer questions - each correct answer will guide you thru the maze. There are passports for kid-friendly questions too so the whole family can be involved. Trust me, the maze is not as easy as you might think, the corn is TALL and you lose your bearings but it's fun and good exercise - I did it three times!

I came here with my sweetheart last weekend. We had a great time walking the maze & then listening to some funky live music while sitting under the trees. Cold beer from the Bastrop Brew House (I think) and fresh kettle corn was a nice treat, as was watching all the kids running around the massive sandbox & folks kayaking down the river. Memorable, fun, & worth repeating. For $20 admission, it was cool to support a tastefully done outdoor venue! Live music is key!
