While waiting on the Sunset Limited back home from our visit to Big Bend, we had time to take this tour. It was great. Our tour leader was fun and very informative and you could tell she loved what she does. If you love beer or just would learn more about it, this is a tour for you. While traveling through Big Bend National Park we had opportunity to eat at the Chisos Mountain Lodge and while there, enjoyed several Big Bend Brewery's best work! So on our way back through town, we stopped to visit the brewery and take the tour. Now I am a homebrewer so I know a bit of what it means to brew and was amazingly surprised at the great tour given. For $10.00 you get the tour, a free pint glass and bumpersticker, and you get that glass filled with the brew of your choice. A great tour, great people, and even greater beer! It is a fun stope out in the middle of no-where and you do not want to miss it! Located just outside of the west side of Alpine itself, you'd be best to check the website for their tour times, which might change from time to time. This is one great organization who cares about its community and the people in it, and they also do an awesome job on beer!
