I go to Long Bridge Park to walk on the "long bridge" or overlook. It is a FABULOUS place to see the activity at Reagan Int'l Airport and the trains. If you're a soccer/lacross player, the fields look incredibly manicured and flat. Nice viewing for fans, too. Obvious that many leagues play there, someone's always on the field.

What a pleasant face lift for a formerly challenged site! The fields are nice to look at, but likely require a permit to use. I go for the trails and overlooks. The surroundings (stone walls, pavers, bioretention gardens, etc) are very nice and most have a purpose (green considerations). Look over the rail by the railroad tracks and check out the gabion walls retaining the site. It's nice for a visit, and will be even better when the final links to the community and swimming center are completed.

I spent several days in Arlington recently for a conference and got walking each evening; I was pleased to find this park. A interesting mix of nature (wetlands for migrating water fowl), running/walking/biking paths, soccer fields, a railroad line, and - not far away - the Reagan National Airport. Spent some time on a beautiful September evening taking it all in.

This is fantastic park on what used to be a brownfield and industrial land. Arlington County has not done anywhere near enough to make it known and popular. It has first-class fields for soccer and lacrosse, but what many people do not know how pleasant it is as a park for strolling, jogging or sitting down to relax. Interesting landscaping and nice sights: D.C. monuments, airport, river, trainspotting and a bird sanctuary. Come and enjoy!

This park features a state of the art soccer pitch with solar powered lighting and special drainage systems to water the plants. The area is kept clean and wonderful for families. We walked the paved trail while viewing the plants and had a view of the Washington Monument and Pentagon in the distance as well as the Potomac River wildlife. Since this is near the airport, expect lots of take of flights to watch too! Many runners on the path so keep to one side!

Vale o passeio. Washington já é uma cidade calma, considerando que é uma capital nacional. Mas dar um passeio em um parque tem seu valor, quando quer fugir da confusão do trânsito. Um bom descanso...
