This Beach is more of a Locals Hide away place it is really nothing special and because of that it is GREAT, minimal people very clean and extremely serene bad part the only restrooms are at the bar restaurants, and if you don't buy you can't use them, but if you are the Mind Over Matter Type, if you don't mind it does not matter, then you be OK, better in the late afternoon and evening this place can get jumping at the bar and it is good for the older crowd and couples.

Ever now and then I try this restaurant to see if it improves. Years ago this used to be one of my favorites but no more. The staff is very rude and could care less that you've chosen to dine there. My fish taco's were sketchy and cold but the waiter didn't even notice that I didn't eat them. Drinks are good if you can get someone to serve you one. This is all atmosphere on the water which is beautiful

Had the raw oysters- soooo good. The parking situation here sucks but thats my only compliant. Really good food and service. Staff is always smiling. This is one of my regular haunts when I'm in town on business. Go there and you'll see why.

Chick's beach has always been a magnet for locals who want to get away from the crowds at the oceanfront, and there are the usual beach bum characters in the neighborhood. Very chill and relaxed atmosphere.

This is one place I am sure to always go. It has a great dinner with a wonderful view of the inlet. The seafood is awesome! Service is excellent!

The only reason I couldn’t give it five stars is because there’s not much bathroom access and the waves are pretty calm so it's not a surfer or swimmer's ideal spot. Besides that, Chicks Beach is one of my favorite places in Virginia Beach. This is the local’s spot to hang, and being a local, I’m a fan of walks and sunsets here, especially because it lacks all the traffic of tourists in the summer. This is off of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and you are right by a few cute restaurants and the residential area North end of Virginia Beach. There are a couple of places to find parking and there are plenty of safe walkways. If you want a place to relax, watch the sun set, read a book, tan, or take a stroll on a nice day, this is your spot. It’s one of my favorites.

This is just a simple beach to get away from it all...literally.There are no food vendors, sidewalks, or any kind of amenities...just the plain quiet beach on the Chesapeake Bay near where it opens up (connects) to the Atlantic Ocean.Therefore you will enjoy SHALLOW, CALM, and WARMER waters...minimal to no waves.If you like peace and quiet and wish to avoid crowds...this is place to be for a few short hours.

Don't bother with the beach front traffic, park quietly and enjoy smaller waves and memory building experiences with your younger children.

Went based on reviews and couldn't of been happier. Parking is very limited but totally worth circling the block a few times! Beach was extremely clean.

Though crowded, the food was delicious and the setting was fun for the family. We will defiantly return.

Once you find parking, a short walk to the beach brings you to a day or evening of fun and relaxation. This is still mostly a neighborhood beach, so there are no public restrooms or vendors for food/drink. Bring your cooler (no glass!), blanket, and toys. The bay is great for kids, because there are rarely waves and the beach has a very gentle slope, which means the water stays shallow for a good distance away from shore.
