What an experience, beautiful view, wonderful selection of wines from all over the world (as well as, wines crafted by the resident vintner from locally grown grapes), and a 2+ hour seminar on the art, pairings, chemistry and drinking of . . . wine. It was an interactive and wonderful afternoon. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys wines and the Virginia wine area.

Visited this vineyard twice in the pst month and have to say the view from the outdoor deck is spectacular at sunset. The wines are slightly better than average.

We were looking for the Chocolate Loves Wine shop, and found this affiliate of theirs. You need to enter in the back of the house, and you feel like you are pulling up to someone's home. The wine server was very nice and appeared to like what she was doing and gave a nice rendering of each wine. Expensive as far as tastings go ($10 per person). Wine was OK.

Been to MANY wineries and done many tastings-and supposedly have had "food pairings". I must say this was such an instructive time. They really got down to proofing the pairings and the taste subtleties of pairing different wines with food. Very informative and wife and I thought of them more of a wine shop (as they sampled wines from all over) as well as a small producer. Virginia wines really just aren't that good and overpriced, but I will say they had other wines at a reasonable price, and we tasted several. Much different than the other Virginia "wineries" we've been too. Our ONLY complaint is that we waited for quite sometime to purchase a couple bottles of wine and just never got served. So, we left with nothing. Beautiful scenery, nice sandwich and some chocolate as well with the "boot camp". About three hours, probably about 12 different tastings. Very nice time.

Second time there and very accommodating. Even brought out toys to distract a 4 yo the first time. Great wine club!

Great winery with great selection of wines. The wine club is very worth it as well to collect little known wines around the country

Enjoyed the wine boot camp. Sampled soooo many wines and even the most seasoned vino-philes learned something new.

Attended the wine boot amp with some friends and had a blast! The owners share their enthusiasm and knowledge of wine in a very entertaining way. I have wanted to learn more about wine and this was the perfect way to start. We talked about, and tasted, some of the wines they make as well wines from other places. I ended buying a great red wine made in Idaho, Idaho! It is really worth it to do the boot camp, I only wish I lived closer so I could attend more of their sessions. In addition to the wine "lessons" we also did a session on pairing different wines with different chocolates. This was an awesome way to spend a Sunday afternoon, I highly recommend it. I also have to mention that the setting and views are beyond beautiful!!!

we are pretty wine savvy but you can always learn something. They did a great job talking about the wine and you got to taste about 15-20 wines, some theirs some from other small vineyards. Read some of the other reviews and was concerned but must have been a bunch of whiners because it was definitely worth the 2 1/2 hours. Great location. Brought home a couple of bottles to enjoy later.

Received a voucher for their wine boot camp as a gift; lasted about 2.5 hours - was fun and informative; they discussed pairings, proper aeration, wine making techniques, etc. The boot camp also included a tasting at the end that showcased Little Washington wines as well as wines from all over the US as well as Europe. We purchased a bottle of wine after all was said and done and enjoyed the magnificent view from their deck - all in all a very well spent day. This winery is also along the "211 Wine Trail" which showcases several vineyards all within a short driving distance from one another - we plan on checking that out later this year.

Knowledgeable staff with a wide selection of their own wines in addition to wines from around the world on the tasting flight. Relaxed and enjoyable afternoon in a beautiful setting.

Great Wine - #1 Red and #3 White in VA. Wine Boot Camp Rocks! The winery has a beautiful view and the education is unique. Wine Loves Chocolate, their store in Washington, VA (Little Washington) is a treasure. They just added cigars (hehe) and will be providing a nice retreat upon which to smoke them. How Civilized!

We have visited here several times and my husband and I were actually married in their field. Really good wine and service. The dirt road win tour wines always have something new and interesting. Also if you want to use this venue for a function they are VERY reasonably priced and accommodating.

We attended the wine boot camp on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The owners Carl and Donna were our hosts. In a couple of hours we learned a lot of very practical tips about how wine is made, navigating the restaurant experience, food pairings and other issues. The group was about 14 people. Our hosts made it a lot of fun. We tasted as we went and concluded with a taste of their wines which are very good. They have a companion business in Little Washington that focuses on chocolate, wine and other treats. 90 minutes from DC. A great weekend getaway.

A great experience for those knowledgeable and not so knowledgeable about wine. Quite an immersion seminar into structure of wines, when to send a bottle back at a restaurant, what to do with the cork, pairing of foods and especially chocolate.Expect to spent 2 to 3 hours at the winery as the bootcamp is small groups and the owner takes the time to answer your questions. As a person who does not care for red wines, I have learned if a wine is paired with the right foods, the flavor of the wine changes. There are wines from the winery itself, and wines from around the world. Take advantage of all three parts of the bootcamp. Truly worth the money.
