This was a nice winery and the employees were definitely good at keeping us entertained! I would definitely go back.

Ingleside is a fun place! The wine tasting room is romantic and the gift shop is one of the best I've seen at a winery. So many things to pick from! Would be a great place to Christmas shop! And the outside seating is so nice. You feel like you are in Italy! Love it!

This was our 4th stop on the wine and oyster crawl. Arrived just in time to get 2 of the last batches of oyster Drago style. The oysters were openned, sprinkled with cheese (maybe a white cheddar) and garlic butter, placed on a hot grill, lid closed and roasted for a minute or two. End result YUMMY, served with crusty bread for sopping up juices. looking forward to trying this one at home. Sorry to say by the 4th stop my wine tasting was greatly impaired. My husband ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and our traveling companion ordered a bottle of the Blue Crab Blanc. I drank sips of both, but can't fairly evaluate, because of the 3 previous stops! The winery was in business the longest time and had a great patio area with at least 20 tables, a fountain and a stage area with a band. Would love to come back, the winery hosts events year round and a spring oyster & wine event. One of the owners stop by our table to chat. We have an RV and have stayed at the local state parks in the area, a lot of opertunity to bike, hike, antique shop, eat and drink wine.

Went during a festival so in addition to the usual wine tasting there was outdoor live bluegrass and food vendors.

Wine was terrific and the staff was very knowledgeable about their wines. One staff member in particular was a tad rude, but she didn't spoil our time.

Not really a fan. What's wrong with these people? We got there about 4pm & just asked about tours. They told us they were $7 & $10 & no more tours today. First off you have to pay to go on a tour? We've toured a lot of wineries and have never paid before. Not going to start now. Second, I asked what time are the tours. They said no set time! What? Did I hear that correctly? No set time? We just drive in & wing it? If you have a tour you do it? If you don't do a tour, then oh well? I don't see how you have stayed in business as long as you have.

My group visited this old winery near Rt 3, around a 2 hour drive from Northern VA, on a hot day, when the workers had already started the grape harvest, due to the weather that this area has experienced this growing season. This winery is one of the 4 oldest in Virginia. The staff made us feel welcome and gave us a thorough tour and wine tasting. There are many buildings in the complex, several orchards, including a small museum, gift shop, tasting room, warehouse, and a huge courtyard with tables and overhead umbrellas. The wines themselves were all good. They age their wines in oak casks mostly and our purchases were all reasonably priced---starting at $12.95. Nearby the winery are the birthplaces of George Washington, James Monroe, and others, which would also be convenient to visit the same day.

Inexpensive wines and tastings, excellent for the money. Has an Italian courtyard feel and look. Could have stayed all afternoon. This is the winery that sets the standard for the others in the area. Funny and knowledgeable staff.

We had a rather large group and stopped by on a Friday evening, about 45 mins before closing. The staff was very cordial and allowed us time to sip a few selections for us to decide what we wanted to buy as well as allowing part of our group to do a full tasting. We sat outside for a while after they "closed" which was also nice, since we arrived as late as we did. So, they do have accommodating staff who delivers good customer service! They also have a huge selection of wines and judging by the size of the plantation, they've got to be one of the biggest vineyards in VA (??). They did have several sweeter wines, their rosé is sweet, we prefer dry, so these didn't appeal to us. But they did have a nice Spanish wine (only slightly off-dry) and a couple great chardonnays, one oak and one stainless. The courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the delicious beverages was laid out nicely under many trees, offering a nice canopy to protect from the sun overhead. Their store was fully stocked with tons of fun wine-related gifts and such.Definitely look forward to going back sometime!

Did a tasting and bought a few bottles. Great gift shop and little museum about the area. We didn't do the tour, but I'm sure it is great. Definitely stop by if you are traveling on Route 3 or staying in Fredericksburg or Westmoreland State Park.

Ingleside is a favorite stop of ours when visiting Virginia wineries. We have always enjoyed the lovely courtyard on numerous occasions, both with picnics of our own and on days when they have had food offerings. The wine itself is of high quality. The whites are crisp and refreshing while the reds are full bodied and fruit forward. I am also impressed that they primarily use their own grapes whereas many va. wineries source many of their varietals. Bravo Ingleside, I would raise a glass to you any day!

A very fun winery with humorous staff. We sampled and purchased some fine wines. Also one of the best winery gift shops we have found. We love to sample but we appreciate a unique gift shop as well.

Ingleside has modest facility that produces very good wines across several varietals at just about every price point. We have been there for several schedules events as well as random visits and every time is a joy.

My husband and I eloped at the vineyard and they were great to work with! They left the Christmas decorations up just for us! Kerri was wonderful to work with, she gave us recommendations for area attractions, restaurants, and florists etc... we also stayed at the Summerton cottage that is on the estates, only 100ft from the vineyard, and it was nice and cozy. We loved our stay, the food, the people, and our wedding was beautiful! We would definitely recommend a couple to stay at the Summerton very cute and if you want a simple but beautiful wedding then you should do it here!

My boyfriend and I visited on an extremely cold, blustery November afternoon for a tasting. We didn't do a tour, but would have liked to. Nobody mentioned that they were doing fine while we were in there. Maybe because of how cold it was. It was also pretty busy and crowded in the tasting room. The wine was good, but pricey, as was the gift shop, but we did enjoy ourselves.
