If you aren't paying close attention, you might miss this attraction. From the parkway, it looks just like an old house. If you are interested in history, want to experience the feeling of entering an old country store, and are looking for inexpensive souvenirs, you will not want to miss this one. The building is very old and, we were told, once served as the original post office in the area. The clerk was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the building. Although I have checked that you can purchase food, you should know that I am referring to candy, snacks (such as dried apples), and homemade goods (such as fried apple pies, canned items such as chow chow, etc.).
