Small winery, small tasting room, and their wines are pretty average. Not much of a variety either. They did have some food there to buy.

But we were sure glad we did! The owner was great, the wine was surprisingly good, we took home 3 bottles, and it was a fun stop. The pours are generous and the tasting fee went away when we bought a few bottles. Very down to earth, no pretense, just good wine. It is on the main road and the signs say duck eggs, so we were not sure, but my wife thought it looked like a couple of gems we have found in South Africa so we stopped and you should as well!!!!!

There were 4 of us who stopped in yesterday for a quick tasting but stayed longer because the customer service was amazing. The wine was great and we purchased a few bottles to take home but the real attraction was how down to earth the owner and staff were. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend stopping in if you're touring wineries in the area :)

The team at Crushed Cellars have customer service and good wine down to a tee. Wonderfully friendly and knowledgable on top of very tasty wine. We were impressed by the variety and quality of both the wine and treats (chocolate goat cheese, anyone?!) This is a must visit from DC but be warned--you may want to make this your last stop because you could spend all day here.

Great winery, generous samples and snacks. Family friendly and something for everyone! Every time we visit is different and has always been a great time!

This is a very small, rustic, easy to miss winery. The tasting area is very small and the wines are limited (there were 4 when we went). I expected very little but ended up buying bottles to bring home. I will go back if I get in the area again.

The energy here is very different - good mojo!! Kick back, relax, and enjoy the beverages. Bob is a great host, with great conversation, no matter what the topic -- from travel, current events, to korean food! Our fav wine is the Vidal Blanc. Yum! I will be coming back, again and again!

We started off our wine touring day at Crushed Cellars, and absolutely loved hanging out with Bob. He let us do our tasting outside because the weather was perfect, and he let us take our time and didn't hover around like most wineries do. The wine was good, and we left with big smiles on our faces. Beware of the chickens - keep a squirt bottle near!

My husband & I visited Crushed Cellars a few weeks ago. The owners were very friendly, generous, & the wine was great. We told friends about it & met them there the following weekend & again, had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

While out touring some of my other favorite wineries in LoCo, we decided to stop at Crushed. A quaint little place with an intimate tasting room, the staff was very friendly--it felt like we were hanging out with some new friends. We received several food pairings with the wines for free. Overall, the wines are young but I think this place will pick up in the next few years. I'll be back, once the vines have matured a little.

Hands down my favorite winery in this area. Bob is the coolest winery owner around. As a matter of fact, his entire family is very talented and friendly! The Vidal Blanc is our favorite. Followed closely by the Meritage. However, the best part is Bob. This man knows how to entertain! We always leave full and with a smile on our face! Oh.. and a trunk full of wines!

It's easy to pass by Crushed Cellars Winery because of the relatively modest signage, but that would be a real mistake! The wine was very good! The service was excellent, knowledgeable and very friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and also welcomed our puppy and gave him a bone! We spoke with the owner who could not have been any nicer. The food was very good as well. Great overall experience!!

Recently, friends of ours visited from NC and demanded that we take them back to Crushed Cellars. We visited before and they had not forgotten the incredible time we had. Luckily, I don't think that it is possible for the owner to give anything but stellar hospitality. While still a "newer" winery, Crushed Cellars delivers a very mature course of wines. They have consistantly proven that they can produce great quality wine. If it were possible the only thing better than the wine is the atmosphere. As a family we travel to wineries and normally feel like we have to keep our young child wrangled and out of the way. Not so here. The owner came out and made the extra effort to make our little one welcome. From giving her a stuffed animal to providing a puzzle for her to play with we felt like we were long lost family.

Blink and you'll miss the sign that leads you up the gravel driveway to the modest structure which houses Crushed. And that would be a shame. This unassuming place has a tasting menu which (to my pallette, at least) never fails to satisfy. Although I prefer whites to reds, each time I go here I taste them both and enjoy them equally. On top of the excellent wine (in Virginia!), he has chickens which roam the grounds (and the fresh eggs they lay are for sale) as well as (mostly) organic beef he raises near by (also for sale). It's worth a drive here to sit and sample the wines and pass an hour or more enjoying the fruits of his labor.

My husband and I go wine tasting on a regular basis and have hit many wineries in Virginia but this winery stood out as a fun experience. There are only 4 wines but they are very good and the owner comes out to your table and pours the wine and has a great personality and had such a passion for what he is doing. They also have complimentary cheeses, breads, etc to try with the wine but they are not consistent with how much, which is actually a good thing because it feels like you are at a friend's house and they are seeing what they have to offer guests. I would recommend this winery for a fun experience.
