We visited last Spring with our son to look at the school. I had several friends who had attended and much of the original campus is so timeless it looked the same. The day before a large snow hit the area so we did not get to do as much as we wanted. Still we saw the college and it looked beautiful in the snow.

For 264 years, W&L has been steeped in traditions. From the architecture to the student body, the university positively reeks with passion for honor, learning, history, tradition, friendliness.....and it's all nestled in a lovely little town, Lexington, Va., surrounded by the Blue Ridge & Allegheny Mountains. Schedule a campus tour so you can truly appreciate this amazing university.

In the heart of Lexington, Va-this university is gorgeous! We were visiting the area during the Holidays so we had quite the opportunity just to mill around and not be in anyone's way. The buildings are so well maintained and there just seems to be so much pride! I am thrilled that we had a chance to look around! I would recommend that if you are near the area; have a stop in and enjoy lunch at one of the many cafe's in Lexington!

Wow! Talk about a blend of modern amenities and historic southern architecture! This school has a beautiful location, gorgeous grounds, and friendly professors and students. Take a walk through the campus to see the mix of old and new buildings. It's a beautiful component of Lexington!

The W&L campus is beautiful and boasts of much history. The student body has a code of conduct which includes greeting folks as they pass by which makes it a friendly place to visit. The Lee Chapel is a must visit to get a different look at a confederate leader. They give short tours which are definitely worth taking.

I took a walk around the campus, soaking in the fall sun lighting up the green grass, red bricks, white columns, and multi-colored changing leaves of the canopy of trees. A beautiful campus nestled in the rolling hills of Lexington. Watching students stroll to and from class provided just a hint of desire to be a student on such a great, classic campus.

Absolutely any time of year, W&L is fun to walk around. There are nooks all over campus and wonderful paths and foot bridges to wander around. If you're in the mood for a hike you can have a great time, or just find yourself sitting on the lawn reading a book on a lazy day.

This school is a hidden treasure in Virginia although it is well known to history lovers. The school is in a beautiful setting and the students are smart and work hard.

This school started in the late 1700s as an academy and over time had the involvement of two.famous Americans, George Washington and Robert E. Lee. Lovely campus with some old Georgian architecture. You.can see the house Robert E. Lee lived in while president of the.college as well as his office and where he and his family are buried. The museum in the old chapel provides an excellent history of the college. This charming town is the perfect setting for this historic college.

If you love history, nature, classic small towns, and beautiful historic buildings Lexington and Washington and Lee are hard to top. This is a place to slow down, stop and and smell the roses. The whole area is great for walking although there are a few fairly steep hills here and there. Spring and Fall are especially magnificent as this part of Virginia has "perfect" plant life. The college, which is one of the top colleges in the US is perfectly maintained and the people on campus are open and friendly. VMI abuts the campus and should also be visited. Eat lunch or dinner in town and consider staying at a local country inn. Great to combine with a visit to Charlottesville, Monticello and UVA.

Combined with the beauty of VMI, this offers a beautiful place to walk off an excellent dinner in town. Safe and historic.

Very old and beautiful campus, very historic. Walked around and saw beautiful buildings. Could not visit Lee chapel because it was closed. Walked from town to campus, very close.
