I have played here many times through the years. They have improved course conditions, particularly the greens. It is challenging yet fun to play. A good course for large events as well.Plan to play it again whenever possible.

In Richmond for a week visiting my wife's family, golfed here at a friend's suggestion. The course is in great shape, is gorgeous and is challenging. Many courses you play have a "sameness" to them in that many of the holes look the same - no imagination or character - not Hunting Hawk! Each hole is unique, has its own challenges and is nothing like the hole you just came off of. While it is challenging, it is not overwhelming. I'm a senior (70 years old) so we played the gray tees. The heavy hitters see a different (more challenging) course from the back tees. But that's what makes a great course. Senior/Military rate M-W is $33 on Th it goes up to $35 and Fr it was $37 - that includes cart.Any way you slice it, still quite a bargain! This course will see me play again and again in future visits.

Played here today for the first time. I must say the greeting and attitudes in the Golf Shop was very professional and we really felt they cared about us being there. We were not let down by the course either. It's in excellent condition, perfect bent grass greens and everywhere else well manicured. I thought the design allowed skilled shots while also allowing the golfer to have fun. Yes there were obstacles that would penalize the golfer, but one must hit a very bad shot to suffer those consequences. This is a must play course and I'd join if I lived here!
