Very fun to visit and see and hear his story. Beautifully displayed and very well presented. Interactive as you can listen to him tell about his life and music.

If you are a fan of traditional bluegrass music, then you will enjoy a visit to the Ralph Stanley Museum. It is located in an old house with a lot of history in downtown Clintwood, Virginia. The admission price is only $5. There are two floors of exhibits. It will take about an hour or more to tour. It is an interactive exhibit and you have headphones to use. You are able to travel through at your own pace. Dr. Ralph Stanley does visit the museum fairly often according to the museum staff.

Being fans not only of Ralph Stanley, but of traditional music, this museum was the best value and most up-to-date museum we have been to. The breadth of artifacts, information and hands-on technology that enhance your experience make this a MUST SEE for music lovers. We spent two hours here, which seemed to fly by - could definitely spend more time. As always in this part of the world, take the time to talk to the people who work and live here. They make the experience more personal and meaningful.

I really enjoyed the Ralph Stanley Museum. It was very informative and entertaining. I enjoyed the music and the history. We came from the Breaks Interstate Park while traveling "The Crooked Road". This is a Must See.
