If you want to feel like you're 'Downunder' without spending the time and money to get there - this place does a pretty good job of it. Really friendly staff, surfer dude atmosphere - yet professional. I've taken a couple of paddle board lessons - one here and another on the Cape. Downunder was by far superior - real fiberglass boards, vs the plastic BICs, and they know their stuff - I learned a lot more about turning technique there. Checked out their other place in Rowayton CT, and took a kayak tour to an island, where we got off to rest and explore - that was great. Amazing wildlife. The guide was a local school teacher, funny and knowledgeable. The stores are fun - plenty to buy - Go Pro cameras, clothing, sandals - pretty much anything you'd expect in a surf shop - but classy. I go to demo some boards in Westport - they had a great variety.
