Im not into gardens but this place was excellent for my wedding photos. I'd recommend it to anyway who enjoys a quiet place to read a book, have a picnic or take photos for a special event such as a wedding.

Well tended and tasteful garden off a windy road. Usually a quiet place, ideal for photography, a short walk, quiet talk.

There is limited parking at this small park but the garden is sweet and pretty and well maintained. It might be a nice place to have a picnic but there are no restroom facilities so it might limit the time spent here.

This is a small gem on Westover avenue. The former location of the Goodbody mansion, the garden remains and is well tended by the Stamford Garden Club. The garden is a formal and beautiful and has blooms during the whole growing season. It also has historical significance as it was the site of Fort Stamford during the revolutionary war. You can still make out the four points of the fort. There is even a well maintained building off to the side which I understand the city rents out for parties.

Enjoy an hour walking the gardens. Tended by volunteers it is always very private, yet warm and welcoming.

This garden is a quaint little beautiful place. Though it is quite small, it contains a large number of flowering plants which have a multitude of bright colours. Its a nice place for photography but is a bit far off from the main city and cannot accommodate large crowds.

This is an out-of-the-way garden with a stone arbor situated in Fort Stamford Park on Westover Road, in Stamford. There is a wonderful peaceful feeling when visiting this micro-garden. It is set back from the road, amidst fields of grass, and is maintained by the Stamford Garden Club. The formal beds have beautiful perrenials to enjoy.

This is one of the prettiest parks on Stamford!! The flowers and trees are beautiful!!! Great for dog walking. Be sure to check out Ginger's ( the cat) grave, hidden in the flower garden. Great for taking pictures ( I took my wedding pictures there)!!!

Visible from Westover Rd, Fort Stamford was once the location of a Revolutionary War era barracks, and is now comprised of a few open grass fields and a beautifully maintained English style flower garden. The best time to visit would be summer when everything is in full bloom, and the ivy tangled arbor is covered in foliage. Great place to enjoy a picnic, bring the dog, take photos, and for the avid historian you may want to test your luck with a medal detector to see what you find! Great little Gem and close by to Mianus River Park trails. Highly recommend.
