Stunning gallery located in downtown Vicksburg, walking distance from shops, museums, cafes and restaurants. This contemporary Southern gallery is on par with galleries of New York. The current exhibition "Two Blocks Two Galleries" (August 8th - Sept 5th 2014) is a phenomenal group exhibition, consisting of work by various incredible artists. From mixed media abstract drawings and paintings to contemporary photography, the exhibition is outstanding. H.C. Porter Gallery is a must see if you are in Vicksburg.

H.C. Porter Gallery is located at the corner of Washington and Clay street in Vicksburg's historic downtown. The gallery is in a beautiful 19th century building. The character is wonderful! It makes for an excellent environment to view art. The gallery hosts a variety of mixed media art. The primary artist is H. C. Porter. She has a richly southern inspired subject matter, but mixes a contemporary twist in her style with how she paints. Quite impressive. I especially love her current series called, "Blues At Home". Absolutely stunning portrait paintings and photographs of Mississippi Blues Legends! I would highly recommend stopping by the H. C. Porter Gallery for a visit if in Vicksburg. Immaculate gallery with phenomenal art.
