I really liked this golf course years ago, played this November, wow, they redid all the greens making them impossible to hit a shot onto them. the greens putted very good but hitting the green with an approach shot caused ball to go off the back of the green. the course was in great shape if you hit the fairways, rough was about 4-5" deep and your ball sank out of sight even 2' off the fairway. this caused some long backups while people looked for their ball. one guy we came up on had found 6 balls in the rough while looking for his ball. Stayed at the Palace Resort and got golf rate of $105 for 18 holes and lunch. there are plenty of courses near here that are much more playable and much more reasonably priced. I am not being a poor sport here, I shot 83 while rolling off 7 greens.

One of the best courses on the Emerald Coast! Plush fairways and fast and smooth greens. The attention to detail is obvious, along with the over the top service. Everything is a pleasure at the Preserve!

One of the local golfers told me the greens are going to be replaced with bent grass spring next year, and the course will be closed for 5 months in 2014 (Apr-Aug?). So if you want to play, now is the time to do it.

Golf course was in immaculate Shape!!! Fairways cut nice and tight while the greens rolled very smoothe! This is a shotmakers golf course, you must be able to control your golf ball in order to break 80. Clubhouse was great with good service and the beverage cart was running around like crazy, saw her every 4 holes.

Great golf course! Fairway's, green's and tee boxes were in perfect condition. GPS in carts was best I have experienced and very helpful in understanding yardage and hazards. People were very friendly and would highly recommend playing.

This is truly an outstanding golf course and I enjoy playing it at least twice a year when I am in town. Well kept grounds and wonderful clubhouse. The food in the clubhouse is really great too--sandwiches are outstanding.

Played several courses in the area including Grand Bear, The Oaks, Shell Landing but the Preserve was my hands down favorite. The tee boxes were perfectly manicured and the greens were awesome. It had the right amount of water and sand traps but was a reasonable course to play for an average golfer (I felt the Grand Bear was crazy hard to keep your ball in play - I lost more balls at the Grand Bear than ever before in my life). There were no houses anywhere to be found (I found houses with cars parked in the driveway a few yards off the green to be annoying at The Oaks). The service was fantastic - the starter and bag boys did everything they could to make the experience top notch. I was attending a conference and could only get 9 holes in the afternoon but their 9 hole rate of $40 including as many range balls (Titelist practice balls) as you want to hit was a fantastic value. Next conference here I won't mess around any of the other courses but will head straight here. Next to the Black Mesa course in Santa Fe this the my most favorite travel golf experience.
