One of the nicer courses in northern Mississippi. We played on a Saturday and for the two of us the green fees totaled $70. It recently rained quite heavily and despite of that the course was still in great shape. Enjoyable enough course with a decent amount of elevation changes, and generally very playable although not overly long or difficult. I played from the blue tees, and the majority of the par 4's I hit driver off the tee and sand wedge to the green. Despite the fact that numerous holes are within a neighborhood the houses never feel like they are on top of you. But the best part of the course has to be that the holes are not laid out with one hole right next to the other forcing you to dodge weekend hackers errant shots.

Our planned golfing trip to Tennessee included a game at Cherokee Valley. After our round we were all pleased that we played this course. As a local course it was a delight to play, the condition was very good with a lot of variety within all the holes, some with doglegs across the corner of lakes, a number of holes have substancial elevation changes. The course is quite open in places but with the number of lakes and strategically placed bunkers still make it a really good test.Very friendly and helpful staff, so much so my friend had a hole in one on the 16th hole and when we told the Professional, he took all his details and posted to the UK the cutting from the newspaper when it was printed.Hows that for service.Give it a try you will enjoy.Dorsetdon.

Just over the state line is a classy, hilled golf course. It's a very well done and challenging course (moreso on the front nine IMO). Greens fees are reasonable (I think it was around $35 last I was there) and it offers the best driving range in the Memphis area.

This is an inexpensive public course. It has really good greens, a nice layout that is not terribly challenging and very playable. It is usually very busy but the speed of play is pretty good. A grea value especially for twilight rates

I have played Cherokee Valley over the Labor Day weekend the past several years. I really enjoy the layout and pace of play at Cherokee Valley. The course has been in very good condition except for a visit a few years ago when the greens were a little fluffy after being aerated. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy playing at Cherokee Valley.
