We went to the Italian class, A Taste of Italy, on a Saturday night. It was entertaining, delicious, and very instructive. We enjoyed ourselves completely! They served two wines and some appetizers, and we dined on our own cooking. Chris was our instructor and he was very capable and friendly. We would definitely do it again.

We had the best time and the food was wonderful - we prepared the recipes from the movie/book The Help - fried chicken, greens, Mac n cheese, biscuits, cornbread, and chocolate pie! Don't worry, there are lots of different types of classes. I have taken many cooking classes and this was the best. These are the reasons - the place was very clean, they ensured everyone washed hands, all of the equipment and food was clean, the ingredients were pre-measured, the recipes were well written and easy to follow, the staff were outstanding, the location was great (directly across the street from the incredible Alluvian Hotel where we stayed), and we loved the other folks who participated in the class with us - just the nicest people! If you want to have a great trip with a fabulous activity and food - go here !!!!

I went with a friend, and had I known we would be cooking in groups of 4, I would have brought 2 more friends. I don't really like the idea of cooking and eating food that strangers have prepared. Other than that, it was a good time! The food was more bland than I liked. However, the experience was great...especially with there not being much to do in the local area.

My three sisters and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day at the Viking Cooking School in Greenwood, MS. Our class consisted of the four of us, six ladies from Tennessee, and a couple from Little Rock, AR. MaryLee, our instructor was gracious and patient. The day was filled with laughter as we practiced our knife skills and learned new techniques. We had plenty of assistance as we prepared a Southern Italian dinner. I will definitely return. I would have ordered that menu in a restaurant.

On a trip with my sister, we enjoyed a great time meeting and cooking with a group of people from all over the South! The instruction was great and pressure-free. The end result was yummy. We had a great time and learned some new techniques. The cooking school is a great way to spend the morning or evening.

I am not a cook, but enjoyed learning and getting helpful tips from the instructors at the Viking cooking school. We made southern comfort food from the movie The Help - fried chicken, Mac and cheese, skillet cornbread, feather-light biscuits, and southern cooked greens. After cooking you get to sample your food. It was fun and came complete with a slice of Minnie's chocolate pie - the real one not the "special" one!

The Viking Cooking school has 2 types of classes---observation and hands-on. You can go online and check the classes for subject and type. The Alluvian Hotel is across the street and is beautiful! Also the Alluvian spa is next door to the cooking school. Lots of good restaurants makes for a great weekend getaway. Check out the Greenwood Tourism website for other things to see and do

Had a great hands-on experience while enjoying great company and wine! The instructor was knowledgable and patient with all - we were split into groups and helped one another with the recipies. No need for any experience - just expect to have fun!

A totally wonderful experience! The instructor was top rate and could tell who needed help and who was doing ok. As others have said it is a lot of fun as a couple or family group.

If you are in the market for a Viking appliance or are just a Foodie, the several Viking cooking schools located throughout the USA are a great place to be introduced to both a full range of appliances as well as some for the home cooking fun. The schools are most fun when attended with a friend or spouse. Sure beats the movies.
