I purchased a "season pass" for Passages, as I live in Springfield, and the exhibit interests me. Over the months, I have visited numerous times, and I discover something new and interesting every visit. Plan to spend at least a couple hours.

This area is very fortunate to have this amazing exhibition for this time period. This is the sort of thing you would have to travel to a very major city to take in. We spent 2 and 1/2 hours there, and it was such a terrific reminder of what people have gone through to preserve the exact written Word. The artifacts are incredible, and awe inspiring. I really loved seeing the scrolls. This is really worth your time.

This exhibition, lasting through January 3, 2015, was a delightful way to spend about 3 hours. The highlights are portions of Dead Sea Scrolls and a first edition of the Gutenberg Bible. There are also numerous first edition Bibles plus much information concerning the study of Bibliology. Particularly interesting was a lecture on how complete texts of Bible portions are constructed from fragments of manuscripts. The exhibition consumes 30,000 square feet of floor space. The items were collected by the Green Family of Hobby Lobby fame. Springfield is located only about 30 minutes from Branson MO.

A group of church friends toured this museum. It was awesome! Make sure you allow enough time. We spent three hours looking at all the exhibits. I didn't realize the bible had bee translated so many times. It was interesting to see the misprints and how leaving or changing one word can REALLY misrepresent the bible. There are famous people bibles on display. The ornate biblical antique items are gorgeous. Well worth your money!

This was a very moving, interesting and memorable experience. I loved the artifacts, the bibles, even the Dead Sea Scroll fragments! It was awe inspiring and educational. It took me about two hours to go through it the first time.. you can go back in again on the same day and so I did! I ate luch, went back and then bought a book at the end. There is enough here to satisfy a history and/or spiritual seeker, anyone wanting to touch the past!! Please go, you won't regret it!

This Bible museum gives a history of the Bible and how it has been preserved. There is a document on display with Martin Luther's actual signature. It has a life size figure of St. Jerome who is famous for the translation of the Bible into Latin. He has a skull on his desk which is a reminder of death and the Christian means of salvation. Many examples of ornate scrolls, various ways of printing scripture, etc. A history of the translations of the Bible down through the ages. A scorched Bible that survived the holocaust and many other interesting artifacts.
