Near the battle sites of the two battles of Newtonia during the Civil War, is this well-kept Civil War era cemetery with many graves of Confederate soldiers, veterans, and others. It is a nice addition to a trip to Newton County where you can see the battle sites and mansion at Newtonia and the Civil War markers at Neosho for the confederate legislature in Missouri. Worth a visit if you like cemeteries. It is back in the sticks. Bring bug spray.
