I liked the house, Cole's Studio and the landscape. There is a movie documentary on Cole's life and paintings; and a guided tour of 50 minutes, where rou can also see a gallery with Cole's paintings, and his disciple Church

I was very surprised by how this museum was set up. I was expecting a small little building with some aging displays and not a lot of things out for us to see. However, the museum is very cool! It's a line of row houses that are all connected. One is set up like a home back in the 1900s and is quite a step back in time. The Civil War floor was VERY interesting and had many artifacts from the area surrounding Jefferson City (including some cannon balls). The Gown Room was also very interesting and set up beautifully. I learned a lot about local Cole County history and thought the museum was very cool.

I was hoping for a nicer experience for the tour, but, the tone was set by the tour guide. She was not friendly and acted as if our group of 6 were an imposition. She could not even answer any questions about the displays.I consider it a waste of time and money.

Museum is closed until February 1. Their website makes no mention of this whatsoever. Drove here literally for nothing.

yeah did not meet white glove cleanliness so do not expect to be visited by any presidents any time soon. Bathrooms were surprisingly enough clean. Had good time

This was a great little museum. It contains many period pieces. The tour guide was the best part. She was fantastic!

The best part of this museum was the staff. They were knowledge, helpful, informative. They offered advice on events, activities, attractions, restaurants, and more. their knowledge of the area and history were amazing.
