The architectural majesty of the building with the spire was awe inspiring. We had the place almost to ourselves and with the personal tour guide radios we could travel at our own pace and enjoy the whole artistic display. Recommend this for all people.

I'm of the church that built it, but I'm of a faction that opposed its being built. But, that's ok, I grew up hearing a prophecy of a false temple that would be destroyed. There's only one part of this temple that I reallly liked: a doorway that is surrounded by panels of glass, each panel etched on both sides, in a forest grove scene. Very pretty. Still, it's worth visiting, for historical/religious purposesl.

Two world-class pipe organs can be heard at the World Headquarters of the Community of Christ denomination, Independence, MO. The more famous is the Aeolian-Skinner organ (more than 6,000 pipes) which was broadcast on radio for over twenty years, "The Auditorium Organ." These can be heard daily in the summer during afternoon free recitals, and on weekends the balance of the year. A real experience for lovers of pipe organ music!
