It is a wonderful walk in a park like environment with history in every store. Good food along the way, with antiques and other unusual stores.

We came here to take our family photos about a year ago, and at the moment I never thought I'd be back, well I am and I love it even more in the winter, so festive and fun! Happy Holidays!

Several great places to eat. Between the two of us we've tried Maiz (excellent Mexican food), Cafe Ollie (a coffee shop that serves beer!) and the venerable Sidetrack. Have to try Aubry's next. My husband was lured to Ypsilanti by D Town's Hudson Museum, in an old Hudson dealership. We enjoyed it, too. There are several small shops: a florist, antiques, a salon and the Farmer's Market in season. A nice, fun area to visit. Drive around the neighborhood and look at some lovely old houses. Most of the buildings here date from 1850's to 1860's and have plaques saying so.

In this region of Ypsi (as it's called locally) there are several museums and shops, as well as restaurants and coffee bars to enjoy. I have included a few pix for you to review. It's not a large area, but in decent weather it's a good walk and the people are very pleasant here. Enjoy.

... such as Boston or Portsmouth, NH. Numerous interesting shops and never had a bad meal. I suggest Breezy's for breakfast and the Mazi Cantina for lunch/dinner.

Great lunch restaurants, late night locals hangout. Lots of fun, good boutique stores, antique car show on Thursdays. Farmer's market on the weekends in the summer.

This place is only 2 blocks long and only one street but there are some nice places to eat here. The Hudson automobile meuseum at the east end is very nice if you like old cars. I ate at The Sidetrack and Ollies which were both nice. Sidetrack is a upbeat bar with good food while Ollies is more sandwiches and ice cream.

Worth a quick visit and burgers at the Sidetrack are worth the trip alone! This tavern is famous! The sweet potato fries are thick cut and awesome. When done eating, walk both sides of the street.

We always enjoy the Sidetrack and go about once a month. Their salads, sweet potato fries and hamburgers are terrific. Fun to watch the train whiz by also. Friendly staff, pleasurable place to relax and visit with friends.

I grew up in walking distance of depot town.In the summer we would walk down to market to get fruits and veggies. Go fishing at frog island park. Go to the ice cream shop. Lots of shops and restaurants. In august there is the great heritage festival. In the winter you can to slide down dead mans hill in riverside park. So you see anytime is a great time to visit depot town. See you soon!!!!

Depot Town itself is a nice place with Frog Island nearby.Restaurant review: I would choose Aubree's over Sidetrack only because the "best onion rings" rating is a joke. When we ordered them and complained over the greasy mess that was served all we got was a blank look from the server and no offer of removing from the bill. Too bad, the burgers are pretty decent. So, thumbs down for Sidetrack and thumb's up for Aubrees.

I researched Depot Town before my recent trip to the Ann Arbor. It looked great on the Web sites, but it was an even nicer surprise in person, especially during fall foliage season. WONDERFUL antique shops, boutiques and restaurants. A quiet little place with lots of charm. I recommend the Sidetracked restaurant - and get the burger!!!! One of the shop owners even gave us a coupon for the place! Plan to return next fall.
