My grandaughter and I visited the park on a nice afternoon. We enjoyed walking the trails and taking pics of the sculptures. What a unique and talented artist! And the perfect spot to display his art.

From the highway it does not look as large as it is and I enjoyed driving around. It is amazing what artist has done.

Had a wonderful time walking around the sculpture park with my husband and 3 year old son. Unique and fantastic. Tons of great photo ops!

Not to be missed! Totally unique experience. Mr. Lakenen is giving back to the community in a very fine way and setting a fine example to the residents of the Upper Peninsula. Every year, Lakenenland has expanded it's offerings. Can't wait to see what 2015 will bring.

This was one of highlights on our 3000+ mile trek from Georgia to Maine, Vermont, Minnesota, Missouri and all the states between. Such a delightful hidden treasure.

I will be generous and give it an average rating. It is not really artistic sculpture park, but more of a hodgepodge of things that may make an adult think are the products of someone learning to use a blowtorch and welder. On the other hand, kids should get a kick out of the drive around the mini-park as they look out the window to view the eclectic assemblage of unrelated "sculpture".The "free spirit" adult may gravitate to it as they try to come across as "avant garde" and "with it". They will be in their element if they luck out and get to be present when the Kumbaya campfire is going and/or there is a band (if you want to stretch the use of that label). The owners have some type of grudge against big government and their township admin. Instead of attending meetings, running for an office, letter writing or using some form of adult civics participation they resort to signage and little messages on the property. Very strange but seems to make the designers happy.By the way, every thing is free but donations are welcomed.

What a cool place! You can drive around it, but we hiked and I'm glad we did. It is terrific. Very creative and fun.

Located a few miles east of the Ojibwa Casino outside Marquette on the south side of the state highway on the way to Munising. You can park and walk or drive through the collection of at least 40 welded art. Located on the main snow mobile trail as well. Free.

We were told to visit this park by our B&B hosts and decided to check it out. We'd passed it many times and thought it looked odd, but decided to give it a chance. We ended up LOVING IT! The sculptures were great and really showed the artist's creativity. Some of them made us laugh and others we thought were just neat. It is free (although donations are encouraged) and definitely worth a visit. It took us about 10 minutes to drive through the park.

A spur of the moment stop on a very long journey ended up being one of the best places we've been. So cool!!! :)

The person behind this is quite amazing. Not only did he create all the sculptures from "junk", but he made the space where they are displayed available 24/7, with no admission charge. You can either drive or walk the paths where the sculptures are located; it would seem that driving is the best way to go, unless you have a lot of time to explore. This would also seem to be a great attraction for families, as the children can identify what is depicted. His sculptures are very interesting , clever, and also with an editorial bent. We read about this beforehand and while we did not make a special trip to see it -- it IS worth a special trip --we passed it on our way east out of Marquette, and are so glad we stopped to visit.

The artist's imagination and attention to detail was impressive! This gentleman appears to be very generous; we did not see a "donation box." The pavilion was beautiful. The outhouse even had hand sanitizer and air freshener! My husband and I enjoyed our visit.

This is an absolute must see. The man that owns this has a great imagination and is a very talented welder. And its free. Incredible!
