We visit our Son and his family each year during July and December. We have been trying to get the Grandkids to the Witches Hat Depot and museum but haven't been able to catch it open until our last visit in July. The Grandparents and Grandkids really enjoyed the depot and park. It was the first time our grandchildren have ever been inside a caboose. The older museum hosts were so nice to all of us.

The city hosts pleasant music concerts on Friday nights during the summer. There is ample parking. Bring your own chair(s) or blankets.

The McHattie Park has many features. Almost anyone would find something to enjoy here. There are ball-fields (softball and volleyball). There are multiple kid's playground sets (for many age-appropriate levels). There are picnic shelters and BBQ grills. To the South, there is the Witch's Hat Depot Museum and caboose, as well as the Historic Village and bandshell gazebo. To the North, is a link of the Huron-Valley Rail-Trail (for joggers, walkers, and bikers). If you can't find something to like here... you are probably an old fuddy-duddy, "stick-in-the-mud" type of person. My advice to those folks would be to go home, and take a long nap! (or wait till it stops raining).
