Not a ton to this place, but worth stopping to see if you are on your way and going by. If nothing else, it is one more beautiful view of Lake Superior!

With the stone wall, the exhibits, and and the stories from people stationed there, I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthouse. Great spot for artistic photos. Be sure to walk the trails nearby.

The Point Iroquois Light Station is one of your first (and best) stops on the Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway. This is a great route to take from Sault Ste Marie to Tahquamenon Falls. There are beautiful gardens and flowers surrounding the lighthouse. If you are as lucky as we were, the lighthouse keeper will greet you in full uniform and spend some time chatting with you,

This was my wife's favorite lighthouse. The host was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the light. The grounds are well kept. There are boarded and paved walks to the beach.

Very nice small lighthouse & very well maintained. The "Keeper" was very friendly and informative. You can access the tower. The original Fresnel lens is in the Smithsonian but they have a similar one on display. Free!

Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn, the PT. Iroquois Light Station is beautiful to visit. Lake Superior will be in a different mood every time you visit! The light house is taken care by volunteers and the Forrest Service. You can climb to the top of the light tower and view the bay. There is a lot to discover inside and outside the building. I never tire visiting!

A great view of the lake. Trails go down to the waters edge so you can check out the beach and pure Michigan clean water!

We love all of Michigan's lighthouses.... but this one has a little something more than just a museum and a view. You can, also, climb the lighthouse "tower" (which we did not) and hike along the lake (Lake Superior). I would have collected rocks to take home... but I saw the sign forbidding such... so I did not break the law. We all would recommend a visit to everyone!!!

Lovely area, well maintained -- beautiful! Any trip to this area should include a visit here. Beautiful views.

We visited this Lighthouse early on a Sunday morning. As we drove up we could hear old time music playing and as we entered we were greeted by the friendly and knowledgable caretaker. It has a great museum, hiking trails, and a cool twisting staircase up to the top of the tower.

I was surprised to discover that you could climb the lighthouse and view the keepers house displays as well as the front shop all free. Just a donation if you like. A ranger is on site and very helpful with information. A great stop on your trip.

Visiting this remote lighthouse on Lake Superior's south shore made me think of the tough winter conditions that lighthouse keepers, their families, and the workers on their ships endure. The facility is well maintained with pleasant and knowledgeable staff on hand. The 72-step stairwell to the top of the lighthouse is tight but manageable and the view is well worth the climb.

Beautiful, tranquil beach. Neat old lighthouse. Fun, cute cat hanging around too. Old Indian Burial ground nearby too.

We visit Brimley State Park almost every year and have to visit Point Iroquois Lighthouse every time. It is such a peaceful setting and the grounds are so beautiful. It is kept up so nicely, whoever plants all the flowers does a wonderful job. It's nice to be able to climb the tower and visit the displays, and all they ask is for a donation if you can. The boardwalk is just a short stroll down to the beach. Love this place!!!
