Tulip festival weekend (by chance) GREAT!!! Grounds and shops were all preped for their biggest weekend of the year.

I realize we're not their target demographic (teenage kid), but we weren't expecting DisneyWorld. Utter disappointment. The little that is there looks sad and outdated. We might've seen a little more in the way of demonstrations, but I was on the phone with my bank for 45 min worried that my debit card # had been stolen because the front gate told me it had been declined. (it hadn't-we paid cash to get in-charge still went through.) I choose to believe that the person was generally incompetent and not that they deliberately pocketed our cash. We were in and out under a half hour, so I spent more time getting the overcharge worked out than we spent there.

This is such a great place to spend the day with kids, and even without kids :). Rides are fun, entertaining to watch the Dutch dancers, but I most love the fun educational pieces of wooden shoe making, cheeses, etc. My kids love the animals and I like to wander through the shops.

This is not a high tech entertainment center but rather a lovely place to stroll, fun simple rides for the younger set, a small mini farm where you can pet the animals. My grandson's favorite part is the small zip line they have. Of course, you can go through the small shops and get fudge, candy, delft items. You must stop at the Hungry Dutchmen Cafe and try out some Dutch style food!

Loved this little village. It was in walking distance from our hotel that was big bonus. Good varity of shops .

Needs total update. Very outdated and dirty. Cobwebs and dusty. Store seemed to be the best place in the park. Goose droppings thru out. Not exciting at all.

We were at the village during off season and I am unable to rate everything at the village. We did go to the restaurant and winery and the food was excellent. The woman working there was Dutch and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We came in the "off-season" so they are only open on the weekends and have limited hours. While we were there there were maybe another 15 people and while the village was beautiful, the high school kids that work throughout the park seemed to be phoning it in. When you enter you are given a list of things to do in the park and the times you can see different demonstrations, we attempted to see these demonstrations but when we would get to the numbered house/building it would either be empty or the kid would say "let me know if you have any questions" we did not see one demo, kinda disappointing. Then we went into the gift shop and stumbled upon the candle maker! WOW! Very impressive!!

We visited on a cold Saturday morning. It wasn't very busy. Most of the staff is extremely friendly. The candle making is remarkable. There is a carousel, swings, a big slide and ferris wheel included with admission. They do a Dutch dance every couple hours and they teach you to do it. You get free popcorn from the dance area also.

Our husbands did not want to pay the $10 entry fee but we went and had a nice time. Kind of cute with information about the area I didn't know about. Glad we went.

It doesn't look big but we found there is lot to see and to do there. Kids have enough games and rides to enjoy, the wood shoe dance was enjoyed by everyone. One surprisingly nice attraction is the hand carved candle shop, the candles have multiple colored layers, then hand carved and twisted to make beautiful shapes. Make sure you visit the shop and see the demonstration! You don't find it anywhere else.

My husband, two year old daughter, and I visited on a rainy day. It didn't dampen her spirits. She had a raincoat and boots and had a blast. Petted animals, rode the carousal, ran in puddles and danced with the Dutch dancers. Everyone was very nice!

I didnt expect that I will enjoy this attraction. My wife just found out about this in a tour website and we check this out when we went in a midwest road trip. The entrance fee is very reasonable and this includes the unlimited ride to their carouseland swing ride. Children may even pet and feed farm animals like goats and rabbits. This surely is an experience for city bred kids. There are demonstrations in the making of cheese, wooden clogs and related things.Cheerful young adults in their costume and clogs manned the different "exhibits." They were even the ones who participated in the traditional Dutch dance.Try this if you will be in the area...there is even an Outlet nearby!

We had a wonderful visit to the Dutch Village with our three school age kids. There was enough to see and do for almost three hours without doing anything twice! (And we did do some stuff twice at the end because the kids enjoyed it so much!) We watched a Dutch tradition dance and got to participate in learning the steps as well. We watched wooden shoes be carved, learning about making cheese, Delft, how to tell if you're a "witch" (from the 1600s?), went to Old School where the kids got to dress up in traditional Dutch costumes and they learned some key Dutch phrases, went on the swing ride and carousel (both included in the price!), the wooden shoe zipline, went on the hand-pump train, played on the giant wooden shoe playground, walked some goats, and so so much more. I loved that there was not additional charges for the activities inside. The staff was great, courteous, interactive with the kids. Very clean and well-run; lots to do for a good price.
