I definitely have a new place to grab a couple of beers when I'm back in the Holland area. Great beers and the fact that I can stop next door, grab a pizza and bring it in is awesome. Love the fact that they brew their own. Do yourself a favor and get the Leroy Brown

My boyfriend and I found this place her on trip advisor and it's a gem ! I know everyone come to holland and does all the basic brew tours but this place by far is the best ! Every sample we tried was amazing ! Especially the cranberry melbec ! In a brewery lol it was a great visit and we'll be back in august !

My wife and I have made Big Lake a regular spot for a great place to get friendly service, good beer, and a pleasant atmosphere. The barrel aged Chinook is worth the stop alone, but the breadth of choices and depth of quality is surprising in a brewery that has only been around for about a year. If your hungry make sure to get your own food(the Thai place next door is highly recommended) then come here for the beer. In a crowded brewery market Big Lake more than holds their own.

This place has fantastic small batch beer, good variety and friendly staff. They do not have food but you can bring food in from any of the restaurants next door.

Most importantly the beer is great! Our favorites are the FF IPA and the Rycoe. We also enjoy the atmosphere--good music and less noisy than others in the area. They don't serve food, but you can have food delivered and there are both pizza and Thai options next door. We have been to Big Lake Brewery a number of times and enjoyed it every time.

This was our first visit to Big Lake Brewery, so we each had a flight. I selected 6 regular beers and my husband selected the 6 bourbon barrel-aged varieties. Great fun to sample two variations of the same beer. We enjoyed all that we sampled & with the delicious food from Thai Palace available next door, I know Big Lake will be one of our stops the next time we're in Holland.New, clean, well laid-out tasting room with large bar & plenty of tables. Friendly staff & lots of choices - wine & cider, too, plus the 14 beers on draught!

On beer alone, I would easily choose Big Lake Brewery out of any of the other breweries in Holland (yes...that includes the New as well). Keep in mind that this is a pure micro-brewery...they don't serve food but allow you to bring food in and have a few establishments practically next door. My favorite beer...the Chinook Strong Ale...my wife's favorite wine...their Apple Riesling. They've recently doubled their taps, so there is a bit more selection than in the past. Also, all the owners have "day jobs" and it is either them or their friends and family working the bar.Grass roots brewery with great beer...what else could you ask for?

This brewery is just starting out so take this review with a grain of salt. The establishment is new and very nice, although difficult to find. They don't serve food but let you bring in your own, but they do give you complimentary pretzels. I had their dark star stout which was decent but could use some refining. The on tap selection was very small so I was kind of disappointed. I will give it a few months and then head back to see if they have more selections or make more changes. Again, it's a new establishment, so cut them some slack!
